That tractor looks like a spaceship or something..:-). If someone would have told me this in the eighties when I was driving the old twoweeldrive Volvo tractors I would have thought they had lost theyre mind.. :-) Have a nice holiday!!!

You'll soon get used to the stick and it will just become second nature the amount of time you spend in it... i keep flicking the indicators on in the handler thinking its the reverse shuttle, even now and we've had it 2 years.. liking the tech be interesting to see how easy to use it is...happy holls...

Masseyman6480 yea I’m not fan of the dynashift on then the 61 series are a utter disgrace but the 6200 series are fairly decent I like the 6480s a lot especially the older shape but not keen on the Dyna-VT gearboxes on the fergies as they might not go wrong but when they do it’s expensive as fuck 👍🏽

When you knock the lever sideways to from forward to reverse do you have to be below a certain speed

From ploughing how many processes are there till harvest??

Where did you buy that support for the monitors on the right? Is an ivt or direct drive transmission?

What would be the benefits of having the throttle control on the joystick ? Never been a fan of JD but their newer models have impressed me big time recently

Did you just buy the tractor reasontaly. And how many tractors do you have on your farm now ??

My uncle has one and I think I’ve drove it more than he has and I’m only 11 but on our farm we have 2 case tractors a 225-160

Wasnt sure id like this john deere as I haven't been a huge fan of them since the 30series. Have to admit its impressive from the looks of the tractor to the tech inside and ease of operation. Really looking forward to seeing you put it to work

Farmer 2003 the best tractor to drive personally is a Fergie 6290 with cab and axle suspension. The only two drive positions are throttle on or throttle off. Back to basics is the way it should go but doubtful it will

My god John Deere has come a long way since one of the first six fours I drove in the 1990s.

If you can master this thing you should apply to BA to fly Jumbos lol.

Couldn’t you rig one of those cameras up to show the rear hitch when reversing to hitch up

Great video andy, pity the forecast is so bad, great explanation of the equipment, if your not touching the brakes that means no brake lights on a trailer for example?

Nice machine, pro command takes it up a notch. Just wondering what your thoughts are on the 6190r you had? I'm looking at swapping my 7810 in for one. Obviously technology would be a big difference but just wondering abt power, gearbox and reliability etc? Thanks

farmerwright Hi sorry for the delay, yes I would definitely recommend a 190R with auto power gearbox but try get one of the later ones as the earlier ones had a few teething problems. The R series will be a massive improvement on the 10 series not saying the 10 series was a bad tractor but it’s just out dated now. 👍

Did you finally changed it? I must say that in power and reliability not many can match a 7810, you should know that as a owner lol.

@@topdoge2632 we sold the 7810 last spring for good money. But we decided to keep the budget down so instead of new one we bought an 8210t tracked as it’s much better in wet conditions which the last three years have been here. We also have two other tractors so makes sense for our operation. I miss the 7810 though! 👍

It's spare, in case joystick dies after few months. Tractor will be still operable.

Sorry to complicated now as it used to be what’s the next model up a 747 airliner that must be simpler than the modern tractors to much I T now I learnt as a proper tractor driver I now can’t even do illness cover to help my friends farm out as where do you start sorry not for me or anyone else over 40

There is something to be said for basic manual machinery where you just hitch up and go! All this hi tech stuff in my opinion is a bit over-rated and relies too much on reliable computers and electrickery.
