VH-VKA landed at Sydney Airport late last night (18/10/13) for the Jetstar Open Day that occured today (19/10/13).

Qantas are still considering the 787-9 as an part A333, part 744 replacement but any decision won't be made anytime soon. Maybe 2015/16 but who knows?
I think their coming early next month. Hope you catch it for us :)

QANTAS wont get the b787s only jetstar now
It will only go to A330 flights at first, in the future who knows.
I have a jetstar toy and i ride jetstar.
