That's the fastest American crossing gate I've ever seen! Where I live they really take their time to go up.

As of 2003, the Arrows can no longer operate south of Matawan due to a voltage change. From that year on wards it was all push pull consists. I remember when the MUs ran all the way down to Long Branch.

The good old days...before NJ Transit f**ked up their trains. Why can't we go back to those days again?

@@peterproductions5015 the comet 5s are so modern no one cares about them. The Comet 1's are the ones that matteres the most and unfourtunately that has been retired

These scenes cannot be repeated today, because the line south of Matewan is now 25,000v AC, and the Arrows cannot change on the fly. It's all push/pull now.

These units were used in both divisions when the voltage was different, as well as the electric locos from that same period. It was only a matter of the flip of a switch.

It's sad that they don't operate past South Amboy anymore. Let alone Aberdeen-Matawan.

I would love to see scale models of the Arrow III railcars produced. They would be useful for modelling the Northeast Corridor.

Because south of Aberdeen-Matawan it is 25,000 kgz and north is 44,000 kgz and Arrow III emu's can not change between cantanari on the move
