This was the perfect age group for something like this. After awhile, elementary aged kids would be scared and emotional. After the “fun high” wore off, they’d be whining to go home. With high school kids, all the cliques and _couples_ would be trying to sneak off somewhere lol. Middle school kids have the right amounts of dependency and curiosity.

Man I wished this happened when I went to school. I literally only ever had one snow day where we missed a day of school. It was pretty cool.

ngl.. that would be a nightmare for me, my social battery would run out so quickly bc theres alot of ppl there and if my battery ran out i wouldnt be able to enjoy it like as much as the other kids

@@RavenMatthew social battery as in... me as an introvert having a 100% social battery in the beginning of the day, and through out the day as i socialize with more and more people my social battery would be drained, and when my battery is drained it is the worst feeling. the only way to recharge is to spend some time alone, which if i was stuck in school with hundreds of kids i would barely have any chance to recharge

OMG I REMEMBER THIS DAY!! My friends and I were on our way home in her dad’s mini truck, and this bus was flipped over and there was a hell amount of traffic, so we had to spend the night at her house lmao. Best day ever💕

lol but i’m wisconsin they have dozens of snow trucks per county that puts ice on the ground. they also have heating lines under their roads. where i live we only have one ice truck for our whole county.

my teachers friend who lives n wisconsin went out when it snowed like 2 inches like “this ain’t gonna be nothing”. he ended up taking 45 minutes to get to the place he was going and back when it was suppose to take him 20

Same with Colorado we had 11 inches of snow and the school was like it’s not too much school shall still go on

My friends brother did this in his high school. It was actually a school event for the freshman. I think one kid brought an Xbox

Damn. My freshman year and now every other year of high-school for me was ruined by covid. No more field trips or school events. I'm going into 11th grade now so I hope it's better this year

All public schools should have one day every year this happens as an event

I have had similar experiences basically last year my bus was late and we stayed at the hall and played with devices and people with basketballs in there back pack could play in the gym and we also had a quick round of dodge ball we only stayed for 10-20 mins before the bus came this only happened 6 times to me

I misread it as “forced to sleep in snow” 😭😂

LoL what fun to stay overnight in school, we never did, living in Colorado, our bus driver was a beast, she drove through rain, hail and snow, but she always got us home, miss you, miss Ella

I've never related to a comment so deeply. My friend misses almost a month of school: Learning and hard tests. I miss one day: a cow comes to our school and my class gets to milk it. A fight. A massive handball tournament with all the 4th and 5th grade classes abd my class wins. Army soldier comes to the school.
