We're not rich. In fact, Turkey is a upper-middle income country, it was cross the line of high income countries in 2013. That year was the highest point in GDP for Turkey. Then everything went wrong. Erdogan also made some mistakes. Today its still a upper-middle income country with high inflation rate.

Wow compare to Sydney airport , Istanbul airport is so massive

Recently used this new airport...Great modern achievement...But no metro trains as with Ataturk airport.. Also too far walking distance from aircraft to visa/baggage pick up area.. Hope trains will be in operation soon direct into city centre area.. Ataturk airport was so much more convenient & nostalgic!

Metro route under construction, and will finsh in approximate 1-2 years. This is first level of the airport. Near future will open all levels and will be better arrival alternatives.
