Great review. And thanks for the pricing on a lot aspects of the water park. So do you rate it better than a kalahari water park or camelback water park? It would have been nice they accommodated you to visit some of the renovated rooms. But they may be prices like you mentioned

Kalahari feels much larger and is less expensive….however Showboat has a much bigger arcade and better views haha. Not to mention the beach and boardwalk being right out the front door…casinos too.

Honestly its a great place and I think they would do themself a great service to combine room and water park access into a package deal. say around $250-$300 a night for weekday nights and $500 ish for weekend nights. include access for up to 2-4 people depending on room type. Something like that.

Yeah, that’s the problem, people who aren’t from the area don’t realize how bad the city is. The state needs to spend money to help the residents and rebuild the city, instead of giving the casinos (that will over charge, under deliver, and go out of business) tax breaks.

Real question I have will people use the pump it up & DDR machines at the lucky snake :P (I really hope they keep this here, the thing I hated about AC as a kid, now that I'm almost 30 and planning a trip there for my dad on father's day this year, was the casinos... Honestly grew up HATING casinos because of all the trips I went to going there growing up... Went to a few casinos in Vegas 2 years ago and didn't play just cuz of how dumb I found playing the slots) Like, legit, I seriously hated going to AC, from dumb trips where my parents didn't get a room so we're sleeping in the car while my parents alternated who was gambling, to bigger family trips with aunts and uncles where... same story... or the whole "oh we have to wait around the rails on the side and loiter". At least the showboat had more walkable space for... children... back in the day but geez man, when the only thing for me to be able to do as a kid there was, I guess, the one arcade at the taj mahal at the time or, like, I dunno the "mall" at caesars, cuz the piers existed, sure, I rode that mighty mouse ride a bunch of times through the years and played those arcade games, but you can only get so many stuffed animals from a water gun shooting game ugh, no wonder I grew up liking final fantasy or something, offline JRPG's like FFX from the ps2 I'd bring to the hotel room, be it the tropicana, showboat, or Harrahs (I ESPECIALLY hated harrahs since during a time when uber didn't exist and I was... a child... you couldn't go anywhere or do anything if you were at Harrahs or Borgata, I think Harrahs had an arcade but like, there's obviously no boardwalk there to go outside to really do anything meaningful there.) like, what... should I, a 13-year old kid back in like, 2007, 2008, use the one piano at Harrahs and just play the same 2 songs I knew, one from Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts on a random piano cuz I had nothing better to do than stand around and be board? (reminding me of a dumb situation I had at the Venetian in Vegas, 2 years ago when I'm like "mom, dad, we have a plane to catch back to jersey in a few hours, where tf are you guys?" while I'm running around the whole casino trying to find these two who couldn't stop playing) But yeah... more things for EVERYONE to do in AC, the better.

Showboat have bumped their head with the prices. I wouldn't be visiting there.

500 Bugs for a cabana and 100 for the flowrider? Are you crazy AC?? For that money you can did a cruise with RCL and the flowrider, pool, food, drinks and shows is for free 🙂

The FlowRider prices are some of the most ridiculous prices I've ever seen first of all the lesson is only available for 1 hour early in the morning 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. or 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. at night and it's $100 which is super crazy

How is it?

I used to love showboat when it was a casino. It broke my heart when Caesar’s closed and sold it. I went down and stayed there the last night it was open (well, within the last two days it was open). When they opened as a hotel it became totally ghetto. Smells like weed all over the place, and has the the typical riff raff hanging around. It’s a shame what showboat has become. I wouldn’t stay there for free. The water park looks nice and hopefully it brings more families there. People with their families won’t put up with the riff raff. I wish showboat luck with the new water park, but I won’t be visiting anytime soon.

I agree although I don’t remember the casino I agree with the second half your comment. Every time I go in for the arcade, the place smells like weed and cigarette smoke. They need to revamp all the hotel rooms and stop being a pet friendly hotel to get it back to the way it was. Obviously it still won’t have a casino, but at least it will be a nice hotel, unlike it is now.

First I want to say fabulous video! Thank you for sharing! But, Price of admission is absolutely ridiculous. I can go to a huge very well known theme park with more water rides as well as a ton of dry rides and I’m paying almost half the price. Just seems way over priced for the amount of rides they have. It’s a tourist trap for sure!

It's nice but for the amount they are charging it is not worth it. The pool is small and overcrowded. There is not many water ride. I will skip thanks for the video.

Thanks for the tour! This was push I needed to STAY AWAY! It reminds me of a Pop Up Shop, with the aesthetics. There was very little love put into this place, from what I can see. And after a quick search, Camelback Resort blows this place out of the water (pun intended 😂). They’re cheaper and have a lot more to offer, as far as a day trip to the indoor park. There’s also specials for Suites with Tickets. I’m not an advocate, nor have I ever stayed there but, after watching this, it made me take a look. I think AC should hang it up or revamp their audience. More family entertainment, and less Adult nonsense. Maybe half the boardwalk you make casinos and such. Then the other half for family fun. AC is as bad as it gets, as far as slums. I honestly don’t know why people still go there.

Tooooo pricey $100 pp for absolutely nothing. And you have to pay separate another $90 for adult section. Smh

I live 20 from there, and go to AC a few times throughout the year. The arcades isn’t that great, overpriced, claw machines are basically 0% chance of winning, loud, and not always clean. My daughter is about 50in tall and can’t go on the go-karts. I can’t remember if it was a case of not having 2 seaters, or if the 2 seaters have a height or age limit. There’s much better arcades on the boardwalk, and in Ocean City. I haven’t been to the water park (that’s why I was watching this video), but it looks very overpriced. There’s much better water parks around southern NJ, for cheaper. I’m not going to bother with this place. For the rooms, the older Showboat rooms are run down and gross. I’m hoping the new rooms are better. Overall, I’m really glad they’re trying to do a more kid friendly place here, but Atlantic City is so run down and overpriced, it’s hard to justify spending visiting there most of the time. I hate to be negative, I just want people to be aware. If you have a family, I would look at Ocean City and Storybook Land.

My parent took me to storybook land a few times as a kid! I remember it being fun!! I agree the old Showboat rooms were starting to look tired…glad they are renovating! Atlantic City is always working on itself and changing. Also, I feel like all arcades are rigged…not much different form the casino that use to be there. 😂

@@fgpalm Storybook Land is the best. Arcades are definitely stacked in favor of the house, but most places you have a chance of winning (the claw machine at Dennys, you almost alway win lol), but these ones are a 0%-0.1% chance lol. Really though, they are a complete waste of money, and probably possible to win. I noticed Tropicana has the same situation in their arcades, too. Whereas this one great arcade in Belmar has a very reasonable chance of winning, maybe about 75-80%.
