That's actually really cool assuming it's running at 940nm or higher that would mean it cannot be detected by traditional NV setups that cap out at 850nm

Makes me wonder if photonis tubes would still be able to pick it up.

We need to see some footage though. 1050nm LED diodes look very weak under the Aurora cameras, so I'm wondering how good this would look like. But to increase your visibility regardless, a >980nm filter should be placed on the actual flashlight to block anything under that that leaks from the illuminator. Cool to see that they did it. A comparison to a Photonis tube would be nice, since they are rated OOB as well.

The Aurora's use a weaker sensor than the Opsin, and the Opsin can pickup 1050nm a lot better.

I'm from other side here. Can yall explain to me about your people's firearm culture. All the memes about America kinda helps. Also, when will you ever use this kind of gear.

Yes the firearms culture in America is popular or always talked about is due to a few factors. One of the biggest is Guns won American independence from Great Britain and then in doing so were able to write the constitution which gave All Americans the right to bear arms and that it shall not be taken away(infringed) and our founding fathers basically said don’t let a tyrant rise again and if they do use ur guns and that’s why they have night vision body armor and all the guns you can imagine it’s simply ingrained in the culture and founding of the country. Bc freedom isn’t ever truly free so defend it dearly

@@upbeat4248 Thank you, sir. It's just all the memes make America's firearm culture seem terrible and Americans seem violent and gun-addict.

Are these for civilians to play like they are part of a seal team, or is this for real soldiers to do there jobs?

These are for people with a helmet they can attach the light to. Nobody is playing “like they are a part of a seal team”. Projection

@@truking4freedom799Its just the light. Assuming your using Nods (Night vision) they show it attached to the helmet since thats where you attach the nods for the best comfort even when using nods outside of combat (ie boar hunting using night vision is not uncommon)
