Best video yet of the 787-8, thanks. So many more are showing off food options and the nondescript views of a wing or engine that could be from any commercial aircraft.

As my 11 year old self traveling alone to KMIA and back to KLAS, this helped me know more about this plane Also my first time flying in it!

It was windy for sure! Those ailerons were working overtime on take-off.

I had the chance to fly on the 787-8 and 9 multiple times about a month or two before covid hit. I flew business class twice from Ord-Dfw, and the other two times were from mad-Dfw and Ord-Dfw in economy. It was a great time and the traveling experience is a step above just about any other plane!

I am a window seat girl all the way!! This video put my mind at ease for my upcoming trip. I chose 12L at first then realized that it was right in the middle of the wing so I changed to 18L. That is on the opposite side of where you were and up one. I'm thinking of switching to the one you were in because it looked so cozy and is away from the wing more than row 18. Still undecided, but your video was the best!!! Thanks again!!

did dfw to mia on one of these 787-8 in economy. Great plane! I would def pay a little extra to fly on one of these rather than a narrowbody or even the 772! The dimmable window is great! It allows you to have the ability to have a view to the outside even when it's full blast daylight sunny bright without killing the cabin with light

Holy crap! Did AA use someone that failed their math class when calculating seat pitch?!?! AA has never been this generous in its entire existence. Unless this plane was planned to service the Asian routes and they have to compete with the likes of JAL, why the sudden change of heart from AA. This is a first time a 787 economy cabin made me did a double take!

I flew in the Americn Airlines Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner from Chicago to the UK Heathrow. Very pleasant experience with the staff and enjoyed all aspects of the flight. Great even for a Dolphin!

Wow the new interior looks like a huge improvement! Hopefully this is a step in the right direction for AA.. They just need to get the IFE's back on domestic routes for the 737s..

787-8 i think is the best...out of the 787 variants, the comfort & range is outstanding.

Just booked a flight from lax to Ord! DFW layover! And from DFW AA is adding 787-800 to ORD! January I am going to be flying on the Dreamliner. I cannot wait. Did 777 2014 now time for the 787!

Have you ever had either Kat Nesbitt or Jetting Julia as flight attendants on any of your flights?

Looks comfortable 😍😍 And yeah I’ve flown with AA in economy class from Prague to Philadelphia, but it was with a330.. but the flight was fast and so good for relaxing ❤️❤️ after that I’ve flown once again with AA but the flight was powered by Boeing 767 (old interior like in the late 80’s) and that flight was from Philly to Miami.. I had the economy class as well but it was the middle row.. That flight was fast too but kinda boring for 2hrs long flight.. I hope that I took a flight on Boeing 787 after this video.. ❤️❤️❤️

Great looking cabin, and leg room with the new seat is wonderful. However, it won't take long before they realize that they can squeeze in more seats, and my guess would be that they drop the legroom now by at least 2in. Although they will likely leave that until after the pandemic, when the flights get busier.

I would love to fly on the Dreamliner and also the Airbus A350. I was born in Sweden and fly SAS a lot from the US to visit my native country. They mainly fly Airbus. I thought the new cabin on this 787 was very nice. I have flown long haul on American Airlines but on board their older 767’s and once on the 777 from London. However, we flew business-class and we also flew first class. I couldn’t complain!

I flew from London Gatwick to Dallas on an American Airlines Boeing 777 in May 2001 then a connecting flight from Dallas to Atlanta on an AA Boeing 727 and the service was absolutely fantastic and if I may say there better than British airways I will always fly American Airlines

Thanks for showing off this new aircraft, glad to see American is refreshing their product on the 787. I love the new galley design, with the logo and lighting, looks very clean and classy. I'm definitely disappointed by the reduced padding, and not just American's seats. I will say its frustrating that American keeps planes like these on the East Coast. Here in PHX, I have never gotten a plane with seatback screens or even IFE, and I used to fly AA a lot every year. But I believe thats a big mistake by American, having so many inflight products that you don't receive a consistent experience. Hopefully theyll find a good product and refresh the entire fleet. Anyway, it was a fantastic video and I definitely enjoyed watching!

I'm going to be on my first 787-8 flight this weekend phi-cdg, but I paid extra to get main cabin extra (what the hell...I'm going for my birthday). I also upgraded my seat on the 787-9 flight on the way back, but regular main cabin and ord instead. Last time I flew was a trip to Israel in a 777, which I thought was a fine airplane.

Did that specific seat - 19A recline as much as the others even though it was against the restroom wall??

I'm surpised because MIA don't usually get 787s from American. Only widebody American sent was the 777 and now retired 767.

So you are flying from Miami to Dallas on American Airlines...so did you need a PCR test to fly from one city to the next?

Curious to why they chose to add 788s and not 789s. When AA placed their initial Dreamliner order it was strictly for 789s. They only took the 788s to begin with because they wanted the type in the fleet and would have to wait to introduce it if they waited for the 789. That's a change of strategy to not focus on the 789s.

How did you just walk up to the business and economy plus cabin? I would feel the flight attendants wouldn’t want anyone from economy up there lol

The middle ones can, the ones in the window/aisle can’t. So yeah as a couple this would be an ideal seat as you could lift the middle one up!

Con los 787, normalmente el desembarque y embarque es por la puerta 2 (la segunda puerta entre business class y premium economy, al frente del avión). Hay aeropuertos donde desembarquen por las puertas 1 y 2 al frente del avión, pero raramente desembarquen por atrás del avión

Really hope AA can put a 787-8 on a route from Raleigh-Durham to Beijing. There are more than 230 companies at the research park in the Raleigh/Durham area and a lot of them want a flight to Asia. Even Apple who plans to build there. In 2014, they recorded more than 262,000 passengers going to and from Asia through RDU. That year, traffic to Asia from RDU was 30% higher than CLT to Asia. Since then, the airport has grown by nearly 5 million passengers in 2019. The airport now is a focus-city for Frontier, Delta, and JetBlue has hinted at a potential base here. JetBlue plans to have 15 routes in March and have hinted at more in the expansion plans which would help give AA reasoning to add here. AA already operates to Heathrow from here and its continuous sellouts. RDU’s runway should be able to accommodate the 788 to Beijing considering the not much longer BOS runway can handle service to HKG on a 773. The airport also plans for a new 11,500 foot runway in 2025 so can be upgraded to larger aircraft if needed then
