    You can crank up the electricity to maxium because you only pay what you use. 🔌The way i see the cloth factory is that it will be your most important bulding you have for long time. It brings the money to run the rest of the republic. You need to transport fabric in and export cloth out, so right next to the border for shorter logistics. Also the big line people waiting for professors are the people on their way to become high edecated but cant because there is no professors. Also maybe asfalt all roads to border even it cost some money but it will pay it selfback.

    I had no idea that is how electricity worked from the border! Thank you so much, I will crank it up! I’ll look into upgrading the main highway even more. Currently want to expand the city and get more highly educated so I can accommodate for the lack of professors! However, I think we are doing far better this season than in season 1

    @46:22 storage needs to go between the fabric factory an the clothes factory. That way they are both connected to the warehouse. That way you can drop off the crops and chemicals at the warehouse, the fabric factory will pull them in, then feed the fabric back out to the warehouse where the cloths factory can pull that in and push finished clothes back out to. If the fabric factory is between the clothes factory and the warehouse, the clothes factory will not be able to access the warehouse. You may also want a loading/unloading station connected to the warehouse so you can bring in the raw goods and pull out the end product more efficiently. And remember, the distribution office that brings in the raw goods for this set-up needs to be located AT the border. a second distro office located in this area will take the finished clothes to the supermarket and then export the remainder at the border.

    That large residential that you started building, you should set it so that only college educated people can live there. That way all your professors will live right next to the 2 colleges and help keep them fully staffed. I think the reason some college educated people where working as staff rather than as professors was because there is a certain ratio of staff per teacher that is needed, and there wasn't enough staff to support more teachers, so some who would qualify for teaching jobs had to do staff jobs instead.

    I am not 100% sure if it will fit, but if it would, where you moved the demolition office to, is a perfect spot to place a bus end station. Bus End Stations can refuel buses, so they do not suddenly go get fuel at gas stations instead of taking people to their work destinations. They also space busses out much better than the line spacing tick on the bus routes do. The End Station will have busses wait there and only send them out, when the buss ahead of them is far enough along to keep the busses spaced out. The Line spacing tick causes busses to slow down when the bus ahead of them slows down (becuase of going on slower roads etc). This causes busses to hold up traffic behind them.

    @19:04 could you imagine how much diesel that truck would be burning through just idling there for weeks on end? luckily the game only burns fuel when the truck is moving 😁

    A possilbe location for the clothing factory, @28:31 there is ta sort-of mis-shapen "V" between the roundabout and the pine forest that does the logging. That might be a good place to put your clothes factory as it has good road access there and won't block future rail placement. [edit] You saw it!

    I think you need 1 more micro bus of workers going to the heating plant. [edit] now that the clothing factory is drawing from there as well, you may want to upgrade to larger busses now.

    Just an idea set up a mid level product, import the raw materials then refine and export. I think it will help with money inflow. Just an idea, not telling you how to play. Great video. Loving the play style. You got this.

    For turning off the "auto-get citizens," @17:30 look at the lower right-hand corner of the screen, there is a little paper box that has a tick for "Get Citizens." That also allows you to adjust how many citizens it auto-gets if you want to keep that on. This paper box *only* appears when you select a residential building to build, so it is easy to mis. I really wish they had some Global Settings int he menu where you could turn things like this on and off from the menu.

    @Braave_ It is that complicated to find, though. Unless you know it is there, you will never see it. That really is something that should be in the tutorial.

    @7:50 with the people unable to get alcohol it may, in part be that with only 1 employee, when there is a shift change, that can cause people to be unable to get access to the alcohol temporarily as there is no one working for a short bit. this happens less often when there is more than 1 worker as they won't all take off at the same time. That little kiosk can only have 1 worker though, so nothing you can do about that, unless you want to build a pub. But too much alcohol negatively affects heath as people get addicted. So I wouldn't consider it a problem that a few people occasionally can't get alcohol.

    I am thinking of adding an additional alcohol kiosk and change the truck delivering the alcohol to a distribution office. I can see how quickly I am going to need more distribution offices!

    @26:28 that distro office should be at the border. It is importing coal from the border and that is where it should be. It isn't close to what they are servicing, but rather close to where the *source* of what they are distributing is located. Sorry for the confusion. Any good being imported from the border, the distro office needs to be close to the border. Putting the distro office for coal import at the heating plant is like putting the distro office for food, clothes, meat, and electronics at the supermarket, it needs to be at the border. You want that at the border since everything is being imported. Similarly, the distro office for wood should be located near the wood cutting station, not at the sawmill. Put distribution offices at the *source* of their supply, not at the destination. Eventually you will have 3 or 4 distribution offices supplying the supermarket. One for food at the food factory. One for clothes at the clothes factory. Another for electronics at the electronics factory. The reason for this is that you will have 1 food factory supplying many supermarkets. And 1 clothes factory supplying many supermarkets. And 1 electronics factory supplying many supermarkets. etc.

    @@Braave_ yes. You can get by with placing distress at the destination while the republic is small, and the number of destinations is small, but that becomes very unwildly as the republic grows and the number of destinations grows.

    @Braave_ once your republic gets bigger, so that you have more than 1 city, you can set up a large warehouse for each city, and then make deliveries of everything that city needs (food, alcohol, clothes, electronics, meat) and put a distributor office at the warehouse, then use that to distribute into and throughout the city. That way all the various places that produce those things don't have to enter each city., they just deliver to the cities warehouse.

    Just got caught up on the series! excellent so far! I think your issue with food is that you have a small store, it's only meant to service 500 people I believe, you're at 900 so it cant keep up. So far thats all I can see. Keep the series going

    @@Braave_ I’m not sure, I think it was one Uthris or one if the other channels that mentioned it. It just got stuck in my head it was for 500 people. Maybe it’s PartyElite? I did find this which says small shopping center can only have 150-180 visitors

    I thought the coal storage was not pushing coal into the heating plant because the "Store this item" checkbox is ticked. (1:02:24)

    The distro office at the clothes factory should also be set to unload clothes at the supermarket warehouse, *then* go to the border to export whatever is left. Then the import distro office can have clothes taken off its list of things to import. That way you are no longer paying to import clothes for your people since you are now making them internally. distribute to your own people, then export what is left. Because things are small now, it is ok the way you set things up, but really the import distro office should be sending fabric to the clothes factory, and the distro office at the clothes factory should only be moving clothes and nothing else, never importing fabric. It is a small operation now so ok, but later as things grow, it will get more confusing as to what is doing what. The warehouse for the cloths factory should be further back, then put a drop-off/pickup station Infront of it to make the dropping off of fabric and picking up of clothes more efficient and less prone to traffic clogs.

    I would go for a second small clinic. This city is too small to justify the hospital. And you don't have enough college educated people to fill the hospital, which may cause more problems than it solves.

    Due to bad weather, it is 5 degrees Celsius. That is pretty chilly. I think you only built the 1 soccer field for sports enjoyment. since that is outside, it shuts down in cold weather. I think when it gets to 10 degrees Celsius it is closed, so no one gets any sport from it. You may want to build an indoor sports facility within walking distance of the bus stop so people can get their sport in the fall and winter. [edit] I spoke too soon! 😆 This town is too small to justify something as big as the Sports Hall Dynamo.

    I figure we are adding more residential buildings in that general location so eventually we will fill the indoor sports center. It’s a future plan for sure!

    not sure if you fixed it but the switch get citizens button pops up in the bottom right near the build menu whilst you have a flat selected and ready to place down.

    @@pastalavista3953 if they are too far which I ensure wasn’t the case. They would go to the bus stop (Gary station). Which is 1000% within walking distance to the shopping center. Therefore, this shouldn’t be the case. I appreciate the comment and feedback though!
