4 gallon tank is a deal breaker for me . I've got to have a 5 gallon tank so I can ride long distance . I do 3 - 4 to 500 mile days quite often when the weather allows .

I wont own another Indian due to the fit and finish issues they are plagued with. However, the gauge, ride modes and ABS standard are all good values. My belief is that the Sportster S gauge needs to make it's way to all the softails as at least an option. Ride modes are absolutely valuable to guys like me that ride every single day, rain or shine in states like Texas and California where we can do it year round. ABS should be standard at this point as well.

Yep, Indian gotta do something about the ugly hand controls. I’ve seen videos on rusting with Indians but I believe they’ve improved. I’m sure Harley will probably start adding TFT and riding modes within the next 2 years.

@@chestypuller9614 ABS should be standard, but be able to be turned on and off. Honestly, in my 28 years riding, I can only think of 3 instances that not having ABS was beneficial for me and all 3 involved me being able to drift my rear to change directions quickly so I didn't smash into someone.

That sucks, and they kept the same MSRP. That’s why folks outside of the states saw a increase of $3k to the MSRP.

10:48 I'll be honest and say I don't like ride modes, I see it as a gimmick. But I do believe newer riders would benefit from them. In my opinion, sport mode is just 0 retard for the throttle, or standard for another bike. I could be wrong tho. 🤷🏽‍♂️

MSRP for the Sport chief is about 800 more than the lowrider s. 18,999 for the Chief, 18199 for the Lowrider. If you want the chief in anything other than black (red or grey) it goes up to 19,499. Lowrider doesn't change. The little bits here and there are cool, and Indians are cool of you "don't wanna be a harley guy" but Indian just tossed out the biggest thing it had going for itself vs Harley. Edit: Harley does charge more for paint and with ABS/TCS options it comes out to a couple hundred over the Indian.

$800 more but ABS standard, TFT display, and riding modes. It’s a solid option, but I would still lean towards a FXLRS.

@@InfamousCreep yeah I just looked some more, it's 950 for ABS, and 200 for their version of TCS. I was wrong and it's also $524 for the color option. Leaving a colored, optioned bike at $19,874. Indian is a good option for sure, I just feel like they'd get a lot more sales by undercutting HD. A lot of people I talk to I point them to Indian (I ride '22 FXLRS) because (they were) cheaper and had more tech (personal preference). More friendly to the younger riders and aren't "old man riding club harleys". I'm only 32 and I see a bunch of younger guys on Harleys though which is cool.

You can still get ABS, it’s just no longer standard in USA.

Harley is so cheap. It is 2023, abs should be standard and should able to turn on/off on all the bikes. @@InfamousCreep

Yep, outside of the states it’s mandatory. Due to shortages, Harley removed ABS (maybe to increase profits) on their Softails.
