I'll say something that probably nobody mentions, but your work on ambience in your recordings is as excellent as your drumming. It brings the exitement out of your instrument a whole lot!

What great sounding drums. As much as I like the toms and kicks, the snare just knocks me out. Ludwig has always made some of the finest snare drums around. Your playing is stellar and the demonstration was wonderful. Thanks.

I love Ludwig! As a kid in the 70's I learned about the brand and to this day still have them in the house. My Grandparents bought me a chrome Superphonic snare around 1974 for $75.00 Even when I am not playing them it is like art to me I like to have them displayed look at them.

I think this may be the best sounding Ludwig kit I've ever heard with one of my favorite drummers making them sing! Absolutely glorious

Only Carter...can make a kit sound THAT good with just a room mic. Anyone else would be processing the hell out of it. Carter just picks the right drums, picks the right heads, and tunes it just right. If I ever become a king-shit famous drummer...I'm gonna hire Carter to be my drum tech. Nobody tunes drums better.

First off congratulations on obtaining such an amazing amazing drum set. Everything sounds absolutely divine, but I cannot get over how heavenly that snare sounds. I’m a snare geek and that thing sounds amazing. If I had that drum, I probably wouldn’t eat sleep or go to work because I would be playing that drum 24/7

Carter should be deemed the "tuning god". Hearing those perfectly tuned toms is soooooo satisfying 😌

I always felt that Ludwig made the best sounding, best looking and most fun to play Drums ANYWHERE .I started playing in 1957 Ludwig was always the best ...I love the sound of these as well. DIZZY

There really is something about Ludwig drums. They sound stunning.

I’m a female drummer from the 70s, and my favorites, that was the Ludwig Quadra plus. I owned it in jet black gloss. Hard to keep the fingerprints off but beautiful one very clean. They sounded amazing. They had four concert Tom Tom with no heads on the bottom. I used a Rogers Dynasonic chrome snare. A beautiful sounding set! I recorded with it, and the sound was pure heaven!

Absolutely the best sounding drums I have ever heard. Only Ludwig's could sound this good.

The 32nd notes while randomly swapping up between doubles and singles is such an insane flex. Like it's hard to even see what's going on with your hands there and it just kinda sounds like a fast snare fill but it's actually wildly technical and difficult.

I think this is the deepest, warmest tone I have ever heard or will ever hear.

When you listen to the toms keep in mind that there is no close mics. But they sound like if there were close mics!

I am in awe of your talent. Every time I watch one of your videos. I’ve been drumming for 40 years and I don’t have 1/1000th of your talent. I’m embarrassed to even claim to be a drummer.

I’m a PDP guy myself but nowadays all the companies are making great kits. And Ludwig is definitely a heavy hitter. The drums sound amazing and are absolutely beautiful to boot.

Those floor toms! They almost click but without sounding dull and choked. Wow.

I got cold chills when you first started playing it. Amazing mix/engineering but ontop of that, this kit sounds killer. My GAWSH.

I had a very similar kit built for me back in 1990. Maple Classic Custom. 10, 12, 13, 14 and...15 ! 22x16 BD. In Charcoal Stain. Still the best kit I ever owned. Still going strong after many world tours and much abuse and probably more than a few thousand shows.

Lmao, you mean lower the pitch by detune, or actually detune(by proper use of term)on purpose so there's uneven tension across the lugs? I can't imagine any drummer who'd intentionally detune their snare drum or any drum, because most snare drums will detune themselves in short time. Which is the biggest pia about them. Not to mention any detuned drum means uneven tension across the drum which leads to warped drum rims and eventually warped shells....if that's what you're implying by detune, then hopefully nobody ends up buying anything you've once owned, ha. That's not a percussionist equipment, that's trash.

It's so useful to have the various sizes. But as soon as you got on the small kit, the excitement level skyrocketed for me.

This is a great example, IMHO, of the difference between the 45 deg. edges and the round-over. I love the punch of the floor toms!

You ain't lyin' it's a nice set! And you play it beautifully, my friend. I like your style and taste in music. When I listen I can hear some jazz/blues with a touch of classic rock in there. Very melodic and the tuning ALWAYS gets my attention! You would think one wouldn't even be having to consider it but when I hear yours, it REALLY shows in the harmonics..very cool and very well done!
