I love it, i love the new design, and the updated pen, etc but... however.... I'll skip this and continue my love using my Cintiq 32 Pro. Here's the reason why I'm skipping this and these are all my opinion. This is coming from an artist standpoint usage. I mainly use my drawing tablet for illustration, Digital art/painting, landscaping, 2D animation, 3D animation, 3D modeling, CAD, video editing, music editing, and manga... so general use I could say. 1) Removal of Eraser - The thing that makes me stick to the wacom all these years and hesitant to buy Huion, XP-pen and other alternatives is the Wacom Pen and it's uniqueness. The eraser is a big part of my workflow. I'm not just a digital artist, I'm also a traditional artist so it is a disappointing downgrade. The 3rd button is unnecessary upgrade. We already have 3D Pen from Wacom. 2) The Price - I got the 32Pro directly from wacom for $3.2k plus taxes and shipping total of $3.6k now if you add the new price, you would ended up $3.8k or even $4k depending on which part of country/region are you on. Also the price... I'm pretty sure, the reduce bezel, heightened refreshrate, buttons, etc. doesn't really make and add to the new price they're asking. I feel as if the old pro models offers more. i know this is wacom but $3.5k, yeah with the eraser gone, i might really welcome huion or xp-pen. At half the asking price or even quarter, they offer more and is improving. Sooner, they will crush wacom. I can't wait for that to come until wacom ups their game. 3) The Stand - The price wasn't disappointing already, the stand doesn't come with it and the stand cost as about buying a Cintiq 16. Shame on you wacom. I will not pay for the stand and I really will not recommend it. Finding an alternative is always great, the arm usage is also great but when you don't like wiggling of the tablet, people usually get the stand the is firm on the desktop table where it minimized the shaking. You seriously asking separate payment for the stand, no way when we all think the bulk of the price, you would think the stand comes with it. Nope, pay another half a grand to get it. BS I'd say. 4) USB connectors and removal of Displayport support - You know what really sucks is if you're stuck with a graphic card... usually high end the offer mostly displayport than HDMI. Without it present, you will rely on converter or change your GPU. I know it won't that much of an issue after all most integrated graphics and GPU now adays comes with one or two HDMI ports but to tell you the truth, if you're using multiple monitors like me who is using those HDMI ports and my Cintiq 32pro using the Displayport, this is a downgrade. Also the USB connector since the Cintiq24HD was a great addition. I know it's a small thing to ask but come on man, they're asking you a price increased by couple hundreds that you need to buy Cintiq Pro 32 only to be met with this downgrade. You should demand more the money they ask. This is a no brainer. The removal of it including probably the SDCard reader is another downgrade that we will probably see in the future cintiq. 5) The Expresskeys - If Expresskey remote is still valuable then I'd say, if I ever buy one of this one, I'll probably rely on the remote. Hell no you think those 4... 8 buttons is a revolutional upgrade. Even an Xbox controller offers more of the button than that. No more of scrolling? Yeah, you will need to buy that express key remote from them. This is an insulting upgrade. You wanna know what a professional looking tablet looks like? Look back at the old Cintiq24HD. It has those buttons in front of you, it has everything an artist can hope for. They even offer a touch version of it and it looks nice. I kinda wish we have those back instead of express key remote but we're all stuck with the remote. For the most part of my CIntiq32 Pro usage, I'm kinda get a hang of using the remote minus the fact that it always seems to run out of charge rather quickly, turns off on it's own, and the annoying part where it crash and if you didn't save your settings, you will have to remap the whole entire thing again. Again, I still prefer the looks of the CIntiq24HD than the newest pro models. This newest version they offer however is very insulting to the old time wacom user. Even the Cintiq12wx that I've used for many years before upgrading to 24HD is still looking professional. Wacom, what the hell are you trying to pull out here? You supposed to appeal to the artist not to the general android or ipad tablet users. If you're competing with these tools to pull out these decision then beware, huion and xp-pen are moving further. They have more upgrades over the years. I prefer and recommend wacom all these years but these newest addition makes me worry a bit about the future of wacom. it's futuristic in a way it's heading towards general tablet users not artist. Sorry, this is my opinion why I'm skipping this and all likes of the future tablet that is gonna be equivalent to this. I would get it if they released a 27 version but similar to 24 and 32. Although I'm liking my 32 a lot and probably will never trade it with anything, the closest I can trade it for is 27. That's the size the looks perfect enough for desk usage and multiple screen usage. 32 feels really big but I can manage. But with this 27 they gonna release, I can't wait for people reviewing it but for my first impression and looks of it, this is not for me. If you have a 32Pro, don't get this. This is a waste of money. If 120hz is the only thing that will convince you, I'll tell you, I own a screen with 240hz and in comparison on my works on 3D still relies on your GPU. If you're have a slow end GPU anyways, why bother getting a 120hz, it's pretty pointless and from my perspective, the only benefit you will get from 120hz is the stroke accuracy and speed. Those who work slow will probably not even noticed the difference between 120 and 60 but to those sketch savage who challenge themselve to sketch Monalisa under 1 minute will probably benefit a lot on 120hz. So again, this is my opinion and why I'm skipping this. I laid out my argument so feel free to comment yours and why you disagree with me and if you do agree comment it anyways. Pls, note, no hate comments however. Peace C:

Heyo! Just some thoughts on this. I think, Cintiq Pro 27 is overkill for the average artists who kept using older Wacom devices, and what's more reasonable is that Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra costs $750 (or $1050 for 512gb) and still uses Wacom digitizer since they've been working for over 10 years.

  • @AceLive_

@@M3K1E Yeah, for average artist it is overkill but for someone who does animation or even 3D modeling this is a must. I do 2D and 3D animation and i'll tell you, it's much easier on a big screen than that 16 inch Mobile Studio Pro I have. While I have my MSP16 on the go, at my studio it's the 32 I used for the entire project. I used to have a 24 inch screen but old Cintiq with many buttons, I really wish the wacom stick to those kinds of designs. The express keys on the cintiq does speed up my workflow especially 3D modeling with lots of complicated keys to press, minimized by shortcuts on express keys. While express key remote does the job, it isn't comparable to how those keys are active in front of you. I just felt as if, they are marketing this to regular users of tablet like surface pro, galaxy tabs, and ipads and not artist who really so much on both accuracy and speed. I'll probably have a hard time leaning on my tablet without the bezels present and will forced to lean towards my desk and without a sturdy stand, it might wiggle wiggle wiggle. I agree, I have the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus and even the Galaxy Fold 3, both I draw on but only use it at work during breaks to doodle or do some storyboards because that's pretty much what I use them, sketches and doodles. Mobile Studio Pro is just too heavy and expensive to be even bringing somewhere and scared I might drop it. Still one of the greater portable I have but I was in love with Tab S7+ from on the go. My apologies if my response is a paragraph. C: It might be long but in actuality, it's just a minute of conversation xD

The reduced bezels are really nice. My Pro 24 is bigger and heavier than a 27 inch monitor . Was hoping for the next Cintiqs to feature a mini LED display for true HDR like the Macbooks (for the price, would seem reasonable). I'm curious if this one also has super loud fans or hopefully no fans at all.

The 120 hz is the right step. What I dont like is, because of the smaller bezels, it will be harder to draw on the very edge, as the bigger frame allowed the hand to rest somewhere. I am also sceptic about the buttons on the rear, I do like the idea, but there are way too few buttons! I use a Razer Tartarus with my Cintiq 32, as the reomote often was not ergomic or offer enough buttons, but with this grip only effectivly having 4 buttons, It is not enough for many functions. They should have mad that modular, too, so people cann also customize these buttons. I always wished there were like a layout as on the accordion, with just small buttons, but awful many. Lets see. The price also rose up quite a bit I feel. The 32 inch was already crazy expensive, but this is smaller, but also more expensive without any stand. Dont know how I feel about the pen. What alway bothered me with normal wacom pens was, that I could not use them at a very low angle, like a pencil a bit "sideway" as the angle on the point was to flat. Don't know how they did it with this one.

I'm a tattoo artist. I have the 27QHD at home, and a 22HD at work. I do most of my drawing at home, and if the client needs some small changes I do that at work. I like almost all of the features on this. I liked the bezel on the 27QHD, it gives my hand a place to rest when I'm on the far side of the screen. Not a deal breaker, but not right for me. I am sure others will like it. It will take up less room that is a benefit of this change. Next the buttons on the back.... I don't know how to feel about that. The 27QHD has the remote, that is 18 buttons and a touch strip. The 22HD has 18 buttons and 2 touch strips. This has 4 primary buttons for your Non dominant hand mostly. The other 4 will only be useable when you set your pen down. I guess I could go back to keyboard shortcuts all the time instead of sometimes.... The screen is a much needed improvement!!! The pen seems like an improvement, I'd rather have the eraser back though AND 3 buttons. I really wish there were more choices for diameter of the grip. In the tattoo industry we use big 1 inch grips. They were originally used to pull the weight of the machine back in the hand. We also realized that by having a larger grip, it reduced fatigue in the hand and we had less incidents of Carpal tunnel. I could just loose all the buttons to buy an0other grip for it... It would be cool as hell to have that option.

Those express keys seem super uncomfortable to me. On the other side, I love that the new pen can get thinner by removing the foam thingies. I hate the old thick pens. They are made for people who grab their pens very tight, but they are super uncomfortable if you hold them light, like I do. I've always removed the plastic cover and "reconstruct them" a little with modelling mass to get a thin version of the pens. As for vessels. I don't see thin vessels as an advantage. I actually think big vessels are a nice thing to have on these type of big tablets. But it isn't a big deal in any case.

Wacom's staying competitive, that's for sure. Will I get it? No, I like small screens for digital art, as my recent XP-Pen Artist 10 purchase suggests. Instead of one big screen I set up multiple smaller ones plus the keyboard on a larger slanted surface, and that keeps me looking and moving around. I like having the screen feel like a sketchbook, and there are some ergonomic benefits because you literally move your hand less to do anything, although I have to full-screen toggle when I really want to draw.

From what I can gather on the confusing website and other videos they published, this won't be compatible with the Flex Arm, and it doesn't look like the Flex Arm can be adjusted to fit the VESA standard. So if you don't want to buy the dedicated Ergo stand that takes up a bunch of desk space, then you're stuck with an Ergotron arm which isn't designed to go low to the table like the one they designed for Wacom. Shame, guess I'll hold off on buying one until they figure that out. Edit: Maybe you can convert the arm with this : HX Heavy-Duty Tilt Pivot from Ergotron

I prefer the previous design. This looks and feels like a Wacom knock off even though its a Wacom. It is way overpriced considering all the competition selling these things and a much lower rate, But yes I get that its Wacom so they have no other choice. To be fair Wacom does have higher grade manufacturing then most. I do like that pen thats unique but I also love the fact they used to have the earser but thats gone I've noticed.

@@htsunmiku Wacom is still the best by some margin. They just haven't addressed their pricing, and so that doesn't really matter anymore. A 50% price drop is where things should be. Of course, they probably wouldn't be able to maintain their current levels of income then. Perhaps they need to streamline their operation, undercut all competition by offering an affordable 2.5K model, around $500 - 800, and sit back as they regain total domination of the market. A 1080p tablet going for $1000 is daylight robbery, especially when others are offering 2.5K displays for much less. Looks to me as though they're not really that concerned about mainstream customers. If Huion can offer 4K displays for $1000, surely Wacom can follow suit. Seems as though business these days is no longer that much about being the best, and more to do with being the greediest.

Agree. A shame that they still include fans in this latest generation. They do need to take a serious look at this: Their competition is fanless at 4k. Many of us digital artists that can afford and would like this model won't buy it because of the fan noise. For something that needs to last a long time it would be better to avoid moving parts altogether. Fans only get worse with age as the bearings wear and they accumulate dust.
