It is up to Canada to get people of other nationalities in to their country. So no worries. They are not doing charity. They want people from abroad jobs which they do not want to do or not enough of them are interested to be working.

20 million students in Canada waits for PR but they issue only 1million PR for next three years. It will be very tough and competitive in coming years.

There are no 20 million students. Just about 900,000 to 950,000. Out of which 30% are Chinese and they usually go back to China. However as you said it will be difficult. Some may not get PR. However if there is a change of government then immigration levels will decrease. That will be a problem. There is no place to live in most cities. That is the main problem.

@@devil7291 Why don't you read todays Globe and Mail. They already graphed it. It is 2.185 million. There are already 900- 950,000 student visa holders as of today. here we are only mentioning temporary residents. No PR holders.

There is no proof that it will increase , probably it will not.. they had increased it because of covid .. Even work-permit holders are not getting job , i don’t think they will increase the part time hours.!

Im looking for the may intake nait collage Alberta after +2 so is it still worth coming? Is there any chance i will get pr with provincial nominee programs?

Right now , the update is only regarding the student visa. Hope they will make a new decision of all the visa’s by next year. So stay tight for new updates.. Hope some updates will be out by april

The extension process for an LMIA work permit begins well before the current work permit’s expiration date. Foreign workers, together with their Canadian employer, need to initiate the extension process at least 30 days before the permit’s expiry date to allow sufficient processing time. While waiting for the new work permit, they can continue working under the conditions of their existing permit and maintain their authorized status. However, if they have applied for a new permit, the new work cannot begin until the new permit is issued.
