Fell for the looks and repenting badly😢. I understood in a very hard way that practicality is to be given importance than gizmos and features, especially while choosing a car.

Yeah The segment's gradually dying. Due to higher sales on Crossovers and SUVs many companies r discontinuing their sedans. Recently Octavia got discontinued and now Superb is also going to be discontinued. Like why I hate it

Having features is overrated. More than half the time you would not use them, German rivals know how to make cars whether it's safety, build ,paint quality, design, driving dynamics, engine, comfort etc. I just feel hyundai cars are a gimmick , they only give features and gimmicky looks coz they just need attention and can't come close to Germans in terms of making cars.

I think it's the other way around. Skoda had to launch 1.5 in ambition trim due to Verna's value pricing, which they should have done from the start.

Verna globally have very strong cars, India has price sensitivity so they were giving cheaper alternative. Else Hyundai in Europe has nice cars..same in Malaysia they have amazing cars there.

@@himanshurao4445 first things first let me make this clear. 5 stars does not matter if you are going at a speed of more than 100km/h and you crash into a wall. It does not matter if the car is 5 stars or 3 neither would survive the crash. The only practical reason to own a 5 star safety rated car is at lower speed accidents where the people sitting inside the car won't get hurt but the car would, and because it is 5 stars it would take less damage hence it will cost less to get repaired compared to 3 star rated car thats it. Practically you'll be as safe inside the cabin of a 3 star as much as a 5 star if you're doing more the 100km/h

Why are you repeatedly bashing slavia for its bad quality? Skoda's bad quality is still better than Hyundai's good quality.

VW Twins (Virtus/Slavia) may have better driving dynamics (arguably) but Verna does offer ADAS which is a useful safety feature.

I don't know what attraction i have to verna, since the fluidic days... And 2017 next gen was best in looks imo. Verna is an emotion ❤

Owning a Slavia ambition AT for last 13 months. In absolute love with the performance (be it City driving in ncr or taking it till mcleodganj). The transmission and steering control during fast lane changes/corners is breathtaking. High seating position gives a sense of higher control. And oh the looks, till this day I fall for it. Infact got an amazing idea from this video to matte and dechrome my grey babe. That chu chu sound thing is somewhat true but not that big to be a game changer at all. The build quality feels robust, both inside and outside. The only negative that affects you practically is the not so great air conditioning.

@@AbhaySharma-xu6jn VW's reliability is a joke. Every now and then there has been a DSG issue, Window issue, AC issue this and that. Verna's active safety features are far more useful than the passive safety features offered by Virtus and Slavia. Only good part is build quality (which we dont know of the new Verna as of now) and driving dynamics (which Verna turbo petrol matches with that of VAG twins). Aur agar inn sabme costs aur features bhi add kardu toh Verna is a far better product.

As of now, slavia is the most good looking car in market even after the launch of this verna , in terms of power both cars are good verna has weight advantage and better tuned engine which generates more bhp than slavia & virtus however they can increase the bhp in same engine by tuning it. Overall package with looks , 5 star Safety which is very important, and power slavia is my pick.

Slavia looks stunning!

Honda should learn from Hyundai and offer Turbo version of New Honda City . As a Slavia owner I opted for slavia solely for back seat comfort and riding dynamics which at that time was less in verna but now new verna has a good backseat space. Sedan segment is improving in india.

Slavia/Virtus/City all look better than the new Verna. Hyundai has screwed up the external design. The grill seems like an unfinished part. But the interiors look outstanding. Hope they launch a facelift in the near future and change the front fascia. Hope it is safer than the previous Vernas.

Meh...new design ...i feel like the design will grow on u eventually....same happened with creta for 2020 update

Hyundai is getting worse with their design, where as Kia from the same brand is updating with a masculine structure. For features also Hyundai is keeping minimal features till the top end, also increasing the cost. To fill the feature gap, later they slip in some nline models without proper color options. Earlier their value for money variants atleast hold some basic features, but now they are maintaining the features after some price cap only.

Design is subjective.. I personally like it.. and agree w.r.t Creta… it has trumped Seltos and has been best selling SUV in its category for quite sometime now.. moreover, with price hike of Seltos it is going to go down further

hoping to buy slavia 1.5 but dont know which variant is perfect.
