Indeed. I've always said, their is an advantage in youth. You have so much energy and your recovery time is much quicker than a strong man in there late 30's - 40's. Also, i believe in a thing called will power, it's almost like adrenaline, but for the mind. I'm not a strong man myself, but in my early 20's i most definitely had more will power than i do today. Maybe that's me not wanting to risk an injury, but in my early twenties i pushed my body to the absolute max. I wouldn't be able to do the same things i once did. I'm still young at 33 years of age, but definitely not the same.

Rauno is probably stronger considering he has the silver dollar deadlift record at 580kg. Also the reason he did so poorly was because his pain killers numbed his hands for the farmers, he was dealing with a bicep injury, he doesn’t have the most static leg strength in this lineup and the guys here just happen to be some of the very few who are better than him at stones. I mean who’s consistently better than Oleksii at stones? Brian☑️ Trey☑️ Maxime☑️ Evan☑️ Tom❌ JF Caron❌ Martins❌ Mitchell☑️ Like 5/8 guys that usually beat Oleksii were there.

He has the hummer tire and the 18' deadlift record. The silver dollar deadlift record is currently held by Rauno Heinla at 580kg!

Would like to see someone play around with a forklift and strain gauges by setting the forks at different widths on that bar. Novikov's technique is significantly more efficient as the bar gets more whip.

With the dead lift, I think assistance in getting wraps on correctly should be allowed. It's not a test of hand strength, it's leg and back strength. The risk of severe injury if 1 strap slips.

The funny thing is that in his last video Oleksii and his coach said they didn't even work for hummer tire deadlift, the actual potential of Oleksii in this type of High leverage deadlifts is in the clouds.

Man, I'm just over here doing some maths. If the area of a cross section of the lumbar is about 2.45 inches, that means that 1,210 on the bar plus say 150 pounds for their torso is 1360 / 2.45 = 555 PSI on the lumbar vertebrae! Sheeeeeeesh!

Rauno is an absolute monster given that he's 40 and still able to pull 476kg, I can't wait to see some of the younger guys like Oleksii at his age pulling the insane amount like that, they way their deadlift game is going, the masters record will be over 500kg at that time too

I love that you're doing this and that it is growing, AND that it is announced far enough in advance that One can plan travel to it, which is the biggest weakness of WSM IMO. But of ALL the things to keep the same... it had to be Matt Iseman. He's brutal. Mucks up names and doesn't even care to learn a thing about the sport that has been making bank for him. Could probably get any number of former WSM/WSW to do the job better and in a more engaging way, and likely less money.
