Here’s a decorating tip: Always put the tallest item on the LEFT side of the shelf (or dresser or any flat surface) because our eyes go from left to right. I wish I could reach through the screen and do the fireplace shelves for you! And don’t forget to add SOME color so everything doesn’t blend in with the wall. Just an suggestion…..

Agree, some pops of color are needed. Nothing too bold but something other than black, white and beige to keep things from looking bland. Overall, I think she is doing a great job.

Your so right, decorating my dresser I put my lamp on the left which is bigger than my decor pieces and worked down, she needs some other color than white and black, i think the 2 accent chairs should’ve been in a different color to pop!

You are so brave to have light colored chairs which btw, absolutely love the new swivels. Totally on point. Another love I have are you doors to the outside, not just because they're asthetically pleasing, but because The pups can see outside. 😍 And the wreath is beautiful as well. I also like the cement vase for the entry table. Can anything come out of it like a set of your beads? Idk. I think it belongs, but it looks naked. Can't wait to see what's next! Having so much fun with the new house. Oh and thanks for The Home Depot reminder. I always forget about all they offer. 👍

Layer items on coffee table. Add books, candle sticks, a short plant, a long tray with candles.

It looks amazing. Love your chairs. As a retired designer I would add a lamp on your entrance table to give a welcome glow. Then on coffee table I would add a couple coffee table books and a candle. I am not criticizing because I think it looks amazing. I would never have made suggestions but you had asked what we think. You live in your home and you know what makes you feel comfortable. I love it.

I think instead of the concrete second vase in the entry table, a flatish oblong concrete tray/bowl would be perfect to set down keys etc. and then covers the scratch too!❤️ thank you for making these videos even though you’re tired! I think we would all be willing to wait if you need some more time to yourself!

YES definitely a bowl or tray instead, but also ditch the white vase with greenery. Perhaps some see through glass vases (maybe even slightly tinted) Looks too flat with the white vase. It may just be that greenery of choice that is throwing it off for me. An airy fern like leaf would take it to the next level. Needs a different green shade then the soft green with blue undertones. Especially against the stark black table. But girl great choice on those swivel chairs! They were meant to be in your new home. The shelves are chef's kiss too!

Beautiful home. As a suggestion, bend your greenery so it drapes over your vessel on the coffee table so it has an airy look. Also, if you take the arrangement out of the wooden tray, set it next to the wooden tray/bowl and maybe place some organic greenery balls or beads draped over the side would look nice, too. A stack of coasters would look nice next to the bowl, too. I love the design of your home. I’m looking forward to watching how you make it your own!

I agree with you regarding the concrete vase. If she had a shorter, round vase it would be a better contrast with the tall linear vase and candlesticks, plus it would echo the detail of the mirror.

Agree the 2nd vase on the entry table needs to go. Love, love, love the mirror!

On the coffee table go big and branchy for the plant greenery. Long olive tree branches or bigger longer eucalyptus branches, a fern, etc or even branch flowers. If want to go small like you have, use a tray and add candles etc

I like it without the extra vase in the entry way. It’s ALLLLL VERY BEAUTIFUL!!! My fav is the chairs!!!!!

Shelves look great, not too much, just enough. One thing, on the left top shelf, put a shorter vase next to the taller white one or separate them a bit just an inch or two between them. They look like they are touching. Coffee table layer items like Valerie Evans stated. I have books, a tray with a candle and coasters and a large short vase with greenery on mine. It took many days of looking and switching for me to finally like mine. Just move things around, live with it for a while and repeat until you love it. Your home is amazing. So happy for you guys!

Push the chairs forward a bit so they are 100% on the rug. No to the concrete vase on the entry table. Looks perfect without. LOVE the mirror!!

On your living room table, you could take the vase and put it next to the plate, then put a candle and some nice cup protector’s on the plate.🤷‍♀️ it all came out beautiful. So excited for you guys🥰

Your new house is lovely and I already know everything is going to come together soon, Ashley! Please don’t feel like you have to rush to create content for us. I’d rather wait to see you REALLY put your spaces together thoughtfully and see that final reveal. A lot of the suggestions that others have commented I feel like you already know. I’m sure in a couple months, you’ll have added other decor pieces, layers of different textures and elements that feed the visual interest our eyes crave. So excited to be here to see it all come together! You’re doing amazing!

You could add a black and cream table runner on the e try table and black and cream pillows on the sectional. Also you.could add a small black accent table in between the swivel. Chairs . I'm loving how everything is coming along .

It would be nice to have a small dark table between the two white chairs, A place to put a drink and ground that side with your other wood tones, love the chairs....

I think the greenery gives a pop of color verses the total organic look without actually adding a color because plants are natural and organic. Love the swivel bucket chairs!

I would add some pops of color on your LR shelves, even if you just did greenery with variegated leaves or different shades of succulents. Also some pillows with texture or use a subtle design in your black, white, grey, and natural tones. It just looks a little blank right now. Put some artwork or family photos on those shelves or on the entryway table.

Thanks for the living room entryway in front door decorating in your new home which is gorgeous. The only thing I would suggest is the coffee table is to take the vase out of the round basket and sit it by itself and then in the basket put your coasters and maybe the concrete planter that had the tissues and maybe a candle. But other than that, I think you did great you. The decor on your shelves look very nice. Can't wait to see what the living room looks like with the TV up. Keep filming videos for us. I only wish you would come up with some signature color and find some small decor trinkets to place sparsely on your shelves. Of coarse that is just my opinion. Everything looks really beautiful! You're doing great. Keep at it. You're tired because of all that you said, but also I've found that as I get older everything gets a little bit harder, heavier, more time consuming and exhausting. Not to mention the mental exercise that you've had to go through daily for the last YEAR just to get your dream home designed down to even the smallest detail, it is no wonder that you are so tired. It's all going to be worth it in the end and you will feel so so good (and relaxed!) when everything is done.

Those chairs are amazing. Those shelves look great. I struggle with not being to symmetrical as well. I think I would add more black or something to the shelves so that it blends with the coffee table and light. Sometimes you can touch up shelves that are scuffed with markers they make markers that are wood colors but black should be pretty easy at least until you get a chance to paint it. Also savvy is in good company because purple is my favorite color too.😊😊

Hi Ashley. The living room and entry look very beautiful. I love all the light colors with a sprinkle of black and green. Those chairs do look very comfortable. It's understandable to look and be tired. Anyone who has built a new house knows all about the stress and worry that goes along with that, so don't worry. At least you get to do lots of fun things now, even though there's probably still a few more details to iron out.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We live in a 60 yr old Farmhouse on 400 acres here in NW Oklahoma. It’s a smaller house, but we recently remodeled it & it’s so much brighter. We’ve gone back & forth with building a new, larger home on one of other farms, but as we’ve gotten older & our family continues to grow (9 grandchildren) we are just staying put & extending on. Put a large bowl on the entryway table something elegant add large vase decor piece add greenery

I’ve heard with shelves, work similar colors in triangles. For example: top shelf place white decor to far left, middle shelf place white decor to right and bottom shelf place white decor towards left to make a “triangle”. Then using black decor, for example: decor top right, middle shelf place towards left and bottom shelf towards right again. Do the same with greens whether decor or plant.

You are so talented when it comes to decorating your home! Everything looks so beautiful. I like the second vase on your black table, it adds a nice hint of color.

Coffee table plant is kind of in the way if yiur having a convo from chairs to couch. I saw a flat would cradle bowl that would work!

I enjoyed watching you make over your living room and entryway! I really love the fact that you used white oak wood in your home. It makes everything look so natural and light.

For the black console table in your foyer, I suggest adding a pottery base lamp in black or brown with a white or khaki lampshade on the far right side, stacked books lying flat with a 3 wick candle on top and a large pottery vessel with oversized greenery on the far left for a stylized, warm welcome in your foyer.

Stack a couple of coffee table books on the console just to hide the scratches until you redo it.

Great job with those shelves! I was so intimidated by our cabinets too but my sister helped me shop and I kept it minimal as well. I love when you can see each item, it’s balanced but not perfectly matching and not too cluttered. I think the entryway console without the concrete looks better or I would do something slightly shorter than the vase you have.
