There could still be something in it "N" gauge might do it? Nah, the fun police would not allow it today and the roads are so crap the rolling stock would perpetually bounce off the track. Back in the 90s when cars were square and dashboards were flat, my dad kept a glasses case on his dashboard that would slide back and forth across every time he took a turn. I could see doing the same thing with an unpowered train, using magnets to hold it in the track, and really soft buffer stops at each end!
