Always great videos… I was wondering what your materials would be. I’m fascinated to watch your use of Metalyte. I’m looking at AAC but your build could open my mind to an alternative. Thanks for the smart and helpful video.

Have you seen and touched the Metalyte? Strange that a sudden change in one of the most important building material, that replaces the hollow block, is done without much feedback from you. It sounds like the contractor has "carte blanche" control over the build and specs.

thanks for the frank comment. i was looking at metalyte even prior to contracting the build. i was big on AAC too but that still had a delivery concern. when metalyte arrives for the install im sure ill post more about it. about my architect having carte blanche, i guarantee he wouldnt agree. 😀 he knows i am very peculiar with what i want and im at the site each day.

What was the budget for that house plan?

what's the situation with AAC block ?

Hi, I really like AAC but even though it's much lighter than CHB we would have to move it too far from the closest drop off point and then onto horses as well. So, we are going with Metallyte forms and will pour in place.
