I'm a strong JD guy and I have owned a NH Discbine. I now run a MF disc mower and find it far superior to either of them,

The Vermeer has that individual system but I hear the nh last longer. Vermeer’s are kinda junky cheap but cost more. I got ahold of a macdon with the transport kit. Makes working on the bar way easier.

We've had our 313 since 2015 and never had stops engage on their own. 2 point hitch is faster to hook up. Dont have to bolt anything. Keep a eye on the skid pans. They tend to crack.

I'm not sure how different these are compared to our New Holland 617 9ft disc mower but I'd sure look into one of these just maybe a little smaller than yours there

Keep in mind you aren't comparing the same machine in green. Example the 900 series deere has the lines ontop also. Biggest sell points for deere are being able to change from counter to center rotation. And also being able to adjust cut height and header tilt separately.

For changing the knives I would strongly advise against using your fingers to hold them because we've had enough instances of the knife spinning and cutting you. Instead we use a pry bar and push up from the sliding plate to the nut.

Need to compare the two same machines not different ones. Need a 900 series Deere to compare! 2pt quick hitch is fast to hookup and easy, also has steel lines all the way back, 900 series are built like a tank!

Went from a 945 to 316 like the driveline being exposed. The couple extra minutes spent greasing on a 50 hr zerk will be saved when a bearing goes on the driveline imo

I wish u nothing but good luck with that mower .. in short crops they don’t cut worth a dam .. Deere had drawbar hitches back in 97-98 already and your comparing an 835 Deere witch is the small center pivot .. only way to truly compare the mower you have is comparing it with a Deere 946 .. hoses are on top of the hitch .. it has either 2 point or drawbar hookup .. I get that the new Holland guys say that every turtle has its own gear box .. which in theray is nice but rebuilding the complete cutter bar the new Holland is almost twice what the deer is .. I’m speaking from experience… but each to his own .. I wish you nothing but good luck ..
