Mine won't turn off by pressing the power button. I think I've had it for two days and ran it through one pack. The only way to consistently turn it off is to unplug the battery. I've used the OTA programmer, updated the firmware, and enabled remote shut-off. Hope yours works correctly. I'm exchanging mine.

@@turboboostHoonicow I've never had to return a defective component to Amain Hobbies, so I will see how it goes when they reply to me tomorrow. I received it on monday, installed it tuesday and tried it today. I bought it for the reverse polarity protection, I blew out myHobbywing 30112600 XeRun XR10 Pro 160 by mixing up the polarity when I was rushing, ugh. I liked it cause it worked and it was $50 cheaper with the same feautures and amps.

i accidentally did the plus and minus wrong and the capacitors started to smoke. but it still works. do i need to replace something now?

The Hobbywing has a protection against wrong polarisation. You only have to replace the capacitators. There are also non-polarity Versions of capacitators available in stock and mod version!
