I think scientist found that they navigate through Earth's magnetic field. But yeah I maybe wrong.

@@harshdutt3000 ya that’s still up in the air. It’s a strong and accredited theory tho! Some think they use their recognition skills and are able to see noticeable lane marks near their loft and some think it’s a mix of both.

Racing pigeons is a big industry. Cool to see you getting into it

Blake your breeders are tiplets. You also have a few basic homing pigeons. The white one with black wings is a turbit. I had turbits for year's. I flew pigeons for over 20 years in Brooklyn with 2 coops. One in my yard for the fancy pigeons and I had my flyers on the roof of my house. You would be totally surprised how beautiful the fancy pigeons can be. There is a pigeon farm in Lancaster Pennsylvania i believe its called Lancaster pigeon breeders. You should be able to find them online. They ship all over the country. You name the type of pigeon they will usually have them. But if you're thinking of getting a few colorful pigeons they are the people to check out. Some really cool breeds are turbits, Chinese owls, baldies, helmets, Tiplets. They come in many different colors. You are gonna need more nest boxs in your coop. They don't need to be as big as the ones you have now. To be truthful you could actually make the boxs you have now into 2 boxes in each. Them boxes are way too big for one pair of birds. But checkout Lancaster pigeon breeders their birds are good I've never had a problem with any I ever got from them. If you need any info on the birds feel free to contact me brother.

Racing pigeons are actually really cool! Once you have em trained & flying how you want etc is a fascinating hobby to do or be able to watch. You, Paul, Tyler, Duff, Joey and Zack should all get em & race eachother.. would make for some super interesting & entertaining/funny videos

I feel like all these projects are starting a great new animals enclosures, but you really need to get dumps trucks full of dirt or gravel to fill in that spot that you’re putting the new pigeon coop and we’re movers and the donkeys and the birds are because it floods so bad there you need to raise it up you’re just gonna have the wood rot it’s not good for their hooves of the animals. Blake I've had pigeons since I was a baby I still got them now I got rollers right now I used to have 200 Tipplar pigeon flying at one time they used to look like little dots in the sky they would be so sweaty when they came down but you could always feel the breeze coming off of them when they would come down it was so neat to feel the wind from 200 birds I've had homing pigeons which are your racing birds your jansen's among other names also had more fancy birds than anybody could ever know from fantails to modini's you should get into the the owls you feed them by hand even had floor rollers they don't fly even had a few roll Downs they don't ever come out of there rolling and just smack the ground it's crazy how the other pigeons from around the world looks so different from the ones here like the Pakistani high flyers but it's cool you're getting Into pigeons

I used to have some top racing pigeons in the UK. Unfortunately I gave the hobby up this year. Times I won't forget and pigeons that I will remember forever. My favourite was nixon winners with him in the pedigree all over the world.

Pigeons are dope. Great addition to the ranch. Lots of stories to be told about how pigeons have worked for people. I had the ones with the curly feathers. That was 40 years ago so I don't remember if they were called Frizzles or not. Another job well done. You really do think of everything.

7:31 black and white saddle is an olde German Owl. probally use as a dropper to train the racing pigeons, figuring youy are thinking that they are Red Foxx Janssen proballity. Plus you can used them to foster your crown victorian pigeons eggs when they decided to breed

I used to race pigeons me and my dad have a video on KZread simply the best mick hobbs there's so many different breeds we had delbars and Busschaert ares where black mainly but nice to see the new addition to the ranch

I had a pigeon coop when I was a teenager with a few assorted breeds of pigeons. The homing pigeons we would occasionally drive miles away and release them and they would always come back. I had one of those one way doors like you installed but they are not fool proof. Sometimes a bird or two would get out of I would find a strange bird in the coop. Anyway, it was an interesting hobby.

You should think of making the landing board a bit wider so that you can place a cage on it for trap training your birds. They’ll need to learn how to do so. Otherwise they’ll just hover around the door and fly along the wire in search of a way in. Also, your adult Racing pigeons unfortunately should only be kept as breeders and not allowed to fly unless you’re willing to risk losing them as since they are already imprinted on your neighbors house they’ll most likely always try to return there no matter how long you keep them. Your other birds should be fine to fly however, don’t skimp out on that radio training. Good luck to you and I look forward to seeing you fly and distance train them. Also looking forward to seeing those Victoria crowned pigeons breed for you.

Homing pigeons are fun! My neighbor growing up (slightly retarded kid, brother of my best friend) had some homing pigeons underneath me and his sister's (the best friend) tree house. We slept in our treehouse listening to the coo of those birds many many nights when I was a youth. (Oh and later we also smoked cigarettes and pot in there)

I would re-home anything that isn’t a racing pigeon or get another loft and keep your racers separate just to keep the bloodline pure.don’t want a roller breeding with a racer incase you plan to race them. Keep pigeons myself your loft looks good best of luck with them Blake

I had a pet Pigeon when I was a Kid, I took it everywhere I went, kept it in a bird cage, I eventually let it go and it stayed with the Barn Pegeons 😁😍
