I really like these Armchairhistorian games

This looks absolutely incredible and I really like the attention to detail. I don't know a lot about this era myself, but it'll be a great way to learn more. I have to say, I would have loved to see this during the Napoleonic wars too. Thanks for the video Apollo and Griff :)

God i'd wish we'd get something like this for the Napoleonic era.

Armchair Historian has a really good approach to strategy game design. You can see the thought process and hear the passion he has for wargaming. Breath of fresh air considering how fucked up CA have become.

I am digging it!! I hope that i can get a physical copy of it!!

While the rogue like elements sound amazing,, if you are looking for strategy, changing terrain layout everytime is strange because example,, If i am a General and I know I am going to invade Afghanistan, I am preparing for hot dry climates and alot of Hills and open terrain in between, Paris wont be a mountain one time and Flat terrain the next, Paris is Paris...

Hey Douglas, we have limited terrain parameters that assist the random generation. Think of how in Minecraft there are biomes like a desert or jungle, but each one is unique. So for example, we'll have parameters that allow for mountains and towns in Bohemia, but up in Pomerania there's more of a waterfront and no mountains. The shuffle of this terrain is different every time, but there is consistency in the geographical features you'll encounter in a specific area.

I think arms should stick to the history if it turns out as laggy as f and m which was a great game but ruined by the fact that it ran terribly I would have bought dlcs if it ran at more then 1 frame every 10 seconds he also mentioned he will sell it for 20 usd which is way more then I would offer for empire only smaller I have been watching him years and honestly feel betrayed a game no one asked for that is literally a 2d copy of empire with minor differences
