I was honestly surprised when I thought about what it would take to make it myself, the material and the cost, compared to the finished product. I'm going to build mine around a kraft paper binder (after removing the metal pieces and reattaching later), because I want a solid structure. But when I looked for other examples of self made books like this (that are refillable etc) I was surprised by all the different ways people have gone about creating a similar product. It really shows the creativity and personality of the individual.

I love this! I've wanted to start on my own grimoire for ages now but I'm the type of person who can't commit to bound pages and three ring binders look ugly to me, so a post bound book would be perfect. Looks more like a traditional book with the ability to add and take pages out with ease.

I found that tutorial a while back as well, it's great isn't it!! I've got my binding post screws, and just received my dark grey faux leather. I'm going to leave it plain probably, no painting or ornament on the cover. But it's just so ideal, I too need flexibility to move things around and reconstruct it as needed. Looking forward to sorting it out. :)
