I am also thinking about getting a seven string but I am not too sure on whether to get a standard scale (maybe baritone) or a multiscale. My concern for a multi scale is that it will be different from a standard scale (ex. More difficult to play chords, palm muting, the fanned frets). Was it difficult for you to adjust to all these changes?

I think if you're going for a 7 string it should be multiscale or baritone, they can both hold standard tuning and go much lower, normal scale length 7 strings can't be downtuned very far. Adjusting to the fanned frets was very easy for me

haha I love those "you're telling me a shrimp friend this rice?" jokes, the pickups are a tad noisy, but I kinda always expect that from some passive pickups, if I ever do swap the pickups ill put in some fishman open core moderns

Might have to do some body work to fit fishmans in. But i was thinking something similar in terms of pickups. The guitar has a comfortable neck for a 7 which is whst i like most about it. And yeah cheese jokes are the best.

What string brand and gauges are you playing? And how do they feel when you're in A standard?

I believe this came with a standard 7 string 10-52 set, the guitar physically stayed in B standard the whole video until I switched to Drop A and it got a lil flubby but still acceptable as long as I didn't hit it too hard, I was using my plug-ins to down tune digitally. However I do plan to set this guitar up in A standard and for that i'm gonna use the KORN heavy core Dunlop set because A standard is their tuning of choice

Am I the only one that’s noticing the insane definition in tone on these pickups?

honestly they sound a tad bit muddy to me, but overall I like the way they sound

I have that same guitar! I just got into 7 string multiscales like 2 years ago and haven't looked back. Playing a 6 feels like a damn toy to me these days! 😂

@@DenDenBMX Side note - Check out the Demon 7 if you get a chance I have one and it's amazing! Plays and sounds well above it's price point. The stock active pups are better than EMG imo, less compressed and more dynamic.
