There is a noticeable difference in Mary's dimeanor and energy! The fuel is working and that makes me so happy! Anybody else agreeeee?

Hi Mary and Peter...I have a feeding tube also. It is tough getting up in the night to flush the tube! I had the same problem. I have a different pump (a Kangaroo pump), but I asked about it. I was able to get a double-bag system to use at home, and I bet the same system is available for your device. For my pump, they are called Flush and Feed bags. The pump does all the work, and you can program it to flush automatically on a schedule. You can ask your home care company about it. They may balk, because those bags are more expensive. You might also need to get support from your medical team to get the Flush and Feed bags, but I bet they would agree. You need your sleep, and so does Peter. Plus, it makes things much easier during the day also. You are all in my thoughts and prayers - Ollie, too!

I have really enjoyed watching your videos and getting your perspective on everything that you have to deal with on a daily basis -- things that your doctors do not get to necessarily see. It has been a pleasure to get a glimpse of your world. I admire your positivity and strength. Have you shared with your care team that you have a KZread channel and if so do they watch it? nolabeats2015 That is so amazing that you watch. We all have fabulous doctors but unless you live a disease you really don't understand the effect on someone's life. To go the extra step in gaining empathy by watching Peter and Mary will make such a difference in your patient's lives, and the vlogs are fun to boot! Doctor's keep us going and I think never get enough thanks for all they do; so, THANKS! to all of you, you're fantastic!

Ahhh waking up to a beeping pump and a kinked tube, the glamorous realities of being a tubie. Hopefully you never have to wake up to find the extension disconnected, now THAT is a mess! 😂 So glad to see you up and moving around Mary! Getting more calories can make such a hugeeee difference. Plus Im so glad that the new meds are actually making a difference! Thats a huge deal!!!! 💜

Hey Mary, you could hang the mirror on the back of the door. Because of the orientation of the bed, your guests wouldn't see it at night but it would still be asscessable to use :) xx

I made my own muslin blanket when I was in hospital once! It's made of cath kidston baby muslins and I love it! X

Hey Mary if you ever decide to change brands of feeding pumps the Kangaroo Joey pump has the option for a single bag or a double bag. My son has the double feed and flush bags. 1 bag gets filled with his formula fuel and the other gets water. The pump flushes the line ever hour for my son but it can be set for how ever often you need. I understand the double bag may not be ideal for daytime since you are feeling weak and you would have more to carry. Just wanted to make you aware it's out there. I didn't know for a long time. Also when my son had GJ tube his would clog sometimes and the doctors gave us Creon and sodium bicarbonate pills to combine to break up the clog and it worked. Creon stinks but it worked. Just wanted to give these tips. Keep up the good work.

You guys should do a "family portrait" and do all of your hand/paw prints on a pretty watercolor background (if you wanted to). Maybe you could mount the mirror on the door? I'm so sorry your throat is still hurting so bad and I sorry your tube came out today! I hope things get better soon love ❤️ I'm proud of you and I hope they are able to get the tube back in if that's what you need 😘💖

hang the mirror on the back of the door. so it's not right when you get up from the bed on the wall. but it's in the room for the guest when the close the door to change or something like that!

so a lovely guest room thing I do, that I borrowed from a home I stayed at once... I leave stamped postcards of the local area in the room. So people can send a postcard off if they want, (I leave a basket for mailing or put it out myself). I just adored that when I stayed at a place with that once, and so I do that for friends that visit from far away.

Mary, Suggestion for carrying basket until you get your backpack... Take two of Peters belts and thread one through each handle on the basket, and buckle each one to secure it to the individual handles on the basket, and put your arm thru each belt so the basket is on your back. I was so sick and when I started being able to eat again, I couldn't believe the difference. Just getting fuel in your body makes such a BIG difference. I see that in you in these last two videos. Just a liveliness that wasn't there before. Its like we are walking zombies when we aren't getting the food and nutrients we need daily and it effects so much. I am glad the feeding tube is helping.

I just got home from the hospital from having my appendix taken out, it was scary for me because it was my first time having surgery but I got through it! I was in a lot of pain but I kept thinking about you and how joyful you are Mary! If you can get through your hard days, I can get through this!!💖
