So easy to follow. And just to point one thing out. Your quilting lines are perfectly straight and without a seam guide. Even though i have been sewing for years it's not an easy thing to do. GREAT JOB. And thank you for posting this tutorial.

I love how you did the gusset (bottom piece). This way, I don’t have to take away from the height of the bag by boxing the bottom.

If you sew the sides and turn them in, on your zip end coverings, and put them on after, using a slightly longer zip, you will have something to hold, on each end, to make using the zipper easier, they are called tabs. If you put the zip and the lining on in one seam, your zipper tape will be less distorted. If you add gussets on the ends, like the base you did do, you will have more space in the pouch, with a less awkward base corner treatment. Try adding a front or inside pocket, or both, to help keep track of smaller items.
