Graham from GBguns has a very simple system to take down the slide of this gun. Grab the trigger guard with your middle finger and pull down on the takedown levers with your thumb and index and asked you do that with your other hand. You pull back the slide it’s actually very easy.

Looks interesting. I would like to point out that any type of locking barrel is not direct blowback. By that logic a tilting barrel Browning design is a direct blowback. Direct blowback is when there is NO locking of the breach like a Walther PPK.

I have 4 Grand Power pistols to easily remove and reinstall the slide you need this from amazon Sniper Table Bench Vise Block for 9mm Handgun, Black 9mm or make it yourself out of wood. The vise holds the pistol makes it simple. Further note the Grand Power X-Caliber Match is outstandingly accurate.

I picked up a used Q1 MK23 (compact version). It has the lightest break of any striker fired pistol I’ve ever shot. It breaks right around 2lbs 4-6oz. It’s a hell of a shooter, but because of that trigger break, it’s staying a range gun. Super smooth. Well made, the safety plugs annoyed me at first, mainly for aesthetics, but after shooting it for the last couple months, I don’t even notice it.

People quit trying to stick the thumbs up in the air or angle their offhand and press it against the side of the firearm, sometimes impeding the slide, is unnecessary. Especially these people shooting 9mm for crying out loud. I don't think that the 9 mm is particularly that much easier to shoot than any other competent defensive caliber. But it is certainly the weakest of several major defensive cartridges, including the 9 * 19, the 9/23 which is considerably better, the 40 Smith, at least 20 to 25% more permanent wound cavity per shot with equal ammo. The 38 Super with proper 125 grain hollow point that can easily be pushed to an excess of 1400 ft per second. And the 45 ACP which also provides at least 25% greater permanent wound cavity per shot. And permanent wound cavity is the only measurement by which we know that you have any advantage with a pistol.

Glock definitely did not invite striker fired pistols. Also didn’t invent the polymer frame either. They use a browning tilting barrel system, and striker fired guns go back to the needle fire system. Glocks only thing they brought in was clever marketing.

The thing about striker fired pistols and Glocks, you don't have to go as far back as to bring up needle fired rifles to have an example of it being done before Glock. There were polymer striker fired pistols already, but Glock can be celebrated for being the first successful / popular design

Berettas do that lock back problem because they're weapons built before current handgun shooting techniques. We hold our guns a lot higher up on the tang than folks used to back in the 80s. If you teacup or properly isosceles it, you will never run into that problem. But then you'd have a new problem... everything you do is going to be 80s/90s vintage. Choose wisely, Murtaugh.
