When reviewing black guns, might want to not wear a black shirt.

Graham from GBguns has a very simple system to take down the slide of this gun. Grab the trigger guard with your middle finger and pull down on the takedown levers with your thumb and index and asked you do that with your other hand. You pull back the slide it’s actually very easy.

Takedown of my K100 mk12 has never been an issue. It’s the reassembly that causes my cursing 😅
I got a Grand Power P1. I love it. Once the trigger broke in it became amazing. Carry it every day in a holster I designed and printed for it. -PDRoots
Great content as always @Hegshot87! Grand Power pistols are one of the best kept secrets in the Firearms community. You can typically find their products at very reasonable prices, and there are usually sales on Global Ordinance for the pistols.
I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it.
Looks interesting. I would like to point out that any type of locking barrel is not direct blowback. By that logic a tilting barrel Browning design is a direct blowback. Direct blowback is when there is NO locking of the breach like a Walther PPK.
I have 4 Grand Power pistols to easily remove and reinstall the slide you need this from amazon Sniper Table Bench Vise Block for 9mm Handgun, Black 9mm or make it yourself out of wood. The vise holds the pistol makes it simple. Further note the Grand Power X-Caliber Match is outstandingly accurate.
This isn’t direct blowback, it’s got a rotating barrel
Glad to see more people looking at theses. Hopefully some holster companies will pay attention
This is one of the best reviews of a firearm I have seen on KZread. Really good detail but interesting and engaging presentation. Great job!
If you like it, you should try the PX4 from LTT😉, from what I’ve heard
You need to what GBGuns, he has been covering the Grand Power pistols for a while.
The only thing I didn't hear ya talk about was misfires or malfunction, so I guess their wasn't any.. Also how many rounds did you put through it? Thanks for the review though, good one 👍
I have original mk12 model and I'm somewhat responsible for.flat trigger and shorter reset on this gun. Toured factory as well.
@pv11fcpipeman

@Baldcurious congratulations, flat triggers on a pivoting trigger is aids that has infected the gun world.
That is not a straight blow design if I heard what you state correctly. It is short recoil operated.
Good in depth review.
Love me my Grand Power but instead of a 9mm I bought a Grand Power P380 in 380acp ... It's great and I gotta give it to GB Guns for swaying me to Grand Power ... on top of my P380 being awesome I paid a silly price for it from Global Ordnance ..
I have a few Grand Powers. Been impressed. Have the hammer fired ones. Been looking at there striker fired. The p11 is kinda sub compact shoots like a full size handgun. They are worth a try. Well built.
I like it a lot. Think I'll see about getting one.
That's a bit difficult to take apart and get back together, but an interesting action. Might have to add one to my collection.
I’ve got the P11. Just awesome.
I wish more people knew about Grand Power, it's great and what we need more of On the other hand, I want it to remain a niche for people who know
Definitely a contender for anyone serious about firearms.
Thank you for reviewing this handgun. Do you know what type of warranty this comes with? I looked at the web site but could not find out.
Ty bud , kind of reminds me of XDM
I've wanted to try out this pistol ever since I saw it in a video from ShotShow.
That's the way that the HIPOINT pistols are put back together.
How would anyone compare the grip on this or any GP compared to the CZ75B? I shoot the latter and the grip really fits my hands. Thinking of an X-Calibur. Thanks for the help!
I thought about getting a GP a few years ago but I couldn't find any holsters for it and mags seemed scarce
Calling it the MK 23 is blasphemous.
Q100 is also available, at least here in Europe, with the manual safety in both sides. A bit nicer look at least.
Swampfox has an optic that has RMSc footprint that has a removable rear sight that is forward of the optic that gives you a rear sight in the event of an optic failure I have not tried one yet but I like the idea if it works well. I have had great luck with my other Swampfox optics
I would just buy a Px4 if I wanted the rotating barrel design. That's probably what most people think.
I have a grand power excalibur, i dont shoot it as much as i should. Its a really great gun, just switch to g34 for "competition" gun.
That safety plug reminds me of the imported tokarevs..
You couldn't give me another striker-fired ball-blaster.
FN reflex has an awesome internal hammer 🔨 and mine shoots great 👍
Looking at grand power’s pistol lineup, the Q100mk23 appears to be identical to the K100mk23, except the K100 has a safety at that location on the frame.
@BurntOrangeHorn78

And it has a hammer.
@AllPurposeBen
6 күн бұрын
That and the fact that the K100 is hammer fired while the Q is a striker.
Now you NEED to review a hammer fired Grand Power, that is where the men come apart from the boys.
I think due pricing lately, the only thing that can hold a firearm back right now is just price.
High bore axis too low. Why didn’t they raise the beaver tail since it’s not DA/SA after all? Like the rotating barrel though. 👍😊
Someone other than GB Guns talking about Grand Power
Proprietary magazines?
Good video 👍
The Archon type B is innovative as well, and GTers don't talk about that either.
I don’t pull the takedown prongs on reassembly
I haven't said this i a while, but I'd really like to try that one out.
If you think this pistol is an advancement, you should get your hands on an Archon from PTR.
I picked up a used Q1 MK23 (compact version). It has the lightest break of any striker fired pistol I’ve ever shot. It breaks right around 2lbs 4-6oz. It’s a hell of a shooter, but because of that trigger break, it’s staying a range gun. Super smooth. Well made, the safety plugs annoyed me at first, mainly for aesthetics, but after shooting it for the last couple months, I don’t even notice it.
14:00 - CUT - and 30 minutes later lol
A striker fired PX4…….so basically a Glock 46 you can actually buy.
I was all ears until i heard optics mounting plate system.
How much?
"Now like pretty much every modern pistol, this one is optics ready." Beretta px4 and hk p30 owners 🫣
If I can see light gapped between the frame and slide (1:38) it's a hard pass for me.
The Q100 MK23 shot faster/return to zero better than any of these I've shot: Glock, M&P, PDP. The accuracy is deadly too, printed 4 rounds through the same hole supported at 10yards. Such an amazing gun at any price
It’s a grand power that’s why.
Isn't this, basically, the same design as the px4 storm?

Just as a striker fired instead of hammer fired.
Did someone say Mk23? Someone copied the HK USP? No? Damn.
IMHO your severely missing out on a great gun with the Stoeger STR-9MC, the serrations suck but Everything else is one the money, including the price these days. I'm telling you dude, overlook the slide an go shoot it, it's really good, shoots like a much bigger gun than it is!
how much does something like this cost? in fictional money of course. how many gold coins?
❤
Ambixterous, you say?
H&K should squash GP for using the MK 23 ( designed 1991 ) name.

Very cool pistol and great info!!! Just wish hearing you talk wasn’t as boring as watching paint dry!!! Haha 😂 I legit caught myself dozing off Lol 👎
People quit trying to stick the thumbs up in the air or angle their offhand and press it against the side of the firearm, sometimes impeding the slide, is unnecessary. Especially these people shooting 9mm for crying out loud. I don't think that the 9 mm is particularly that much easier to shoot than any other competent defensive caliber. But it is certainly the weakest of several major defensive cartridges, including the 9 * 19, the 9/23 which is considerably better, the 40 Smith, at least 20 to 25% more permanent wound cavity per shot with equal ammo. The 38 Super with proper 125 grain hollow point that can easily be pushed to an excess of 1400 ft per second. And the 45 ACP which also provides at least 25% greater permanent wound cavity per shot. And permanent wound cavity is the only measurement by which we know that you have any advantage with a pistol.
The market is just saturated with polymer frame, striker fired pistols. That’s probably why.
Do I need tons of tattoos to own the gun?
Mk23 is a poor choice of name bc anyone looking up mk23 is going to have to wade through pages HK search results before they get to this
@bmbullman
16 сағат бұрын
It's not a Mk23 though, it's a Q1 mk23. If you search Grand Power Q1 mk23, all you get is correct results. Nothing HK at all.
Cz pistols, am i joke to you!!
Glock definitely did not invite striker fired pistols. Also didn’t invent the polymer frame either. They use a browning tilting barrel system, and striker fired guns go back to the needle fire system. Glocks only thing they brought in was clever marketing.
@user-ej4eq5im4r
6 күн бұрын
The thing about striker fired pistols and Glocks, you don't have to go as far back as to bring up needle fired rifles to have an example of it being done before Glock. There were polymer striker fired pistols already, but Glock can be celebrated for being the first successful / popular design

Stay mad
I remember when uploading a video used be be an event and creators couldt waste 15 god damn minutes talking in circles to fill air time to meet some shit algorithm standard. Almost every single guntube channel is nothing but a clone of a clone of what worked to get the numbers up 10 years ago.
I see no differents from other pistols. So I won't be looking into it.
Most likely for the price point people will stay with more reputable brands.
Great pistols - so long as you never have to disassemble or reassemble them.
Berettas do that lock back problem because they're weapons built before current handgun shooting techniques. We hold our guns a lot higher up on the tang than folks used to back in the 80s. If you teacup or properly isosceles it, you will never run into that problem. But then you'd have a new problem... everything you do is going to be 80s/90s vintage. Choose wisely, Murtaugh.
Check quality is very poor like Turkish made firearms & munitions
I refuse to buy any firearm with a warning label on it!
I have some guns I’m really accurate and I have others not so much.
Rotating barrel seems like a bad idea when most people want to put comps and suppressors on their gun. I bet it would impede the function
Not really innovative at all. Rotating barrel systems have been around for a long time. While they will typically have reduced felt recoil, they come with other disadvantages that aren’t really present on tilt barrel systems.
@evernhamanderson

Sold Beretta Cougars back in the 90's. Same rotational system. Wasn't great, wasn't bad either. Just not popular.

@@evernhamanderson not popular for a reason. I wish people would understand that just uncommon =/= innovative.
M9A3 your favorite? Ew you just lost all credibility. . . I kid, I kid😂
0:47 HE SAID IT RIGHT!!! He said "Truly unique" rather than it's mind-numbingly stupid cousin "Very unique" because he understands that the word "Unique" is Latin for "Forming the only one of its kind"! Oh, I am as happy as Julie Andrews spinning on that mountain top in "The Sound of Music"!
Man hearing the slide fall on empty chamber is amateur move. other than great info!
>mk23 Bro this Turkish crap is NOT a mk23 lmao
Poor lighting, black shirt, black gun held against it. No thanks, click on another vid…
What an un ugly looking gun
Damn you talk alot and don't say much. I'm out.
There is nothing unique about this pistol. Is it a quality gun? Maybe. Sure. I don't care. The description touts this as "unlike any other." And the pistol is incorrectly described as direct blowback when it is a short recoil rotating barrel system. Unqualified people should not make these videos.
You said 'the M9 is one of my favorite handguns of all time.' I just stopped the video there. M9's from what I've seen are just above hi points & bersas, general trash as far as handguns go. Now, they make outstanding shotguns.
