    I used a calibration video on youtube instead of posting the squares on my TV. It worked perfectly and didn't have to worry about the adhesive at all that way. Also can be easily done multiple times if you need to recalibrate.

    When I first did it I used the squares and luckily I just barely touched them to my screen and when it came to moving the camera from the top of the TV to the bottom of the TV it damn near broke the plastic off of my TV because the adhesive was so strong. It really sucks how it won't show Green unless the whole screen is basically green and stays on that image and pretty much everything is substituted with purple. I did the same thing though, I ended up just recalibrating and I simply brought everything in about 2 in or so and if I watch something that is widescreen it's not basically all purple now.

    I really wanted to get strips and run them on the edges of my bedroom and behind my bed and have it go with what's on the TV, that would have been really cool and all they would have to do is make an adapter so that it splits off at each connection and it wouldn't cost them hardly anything at all and they could even sell those three little connectors for $20 easily. You can cut and solder the strips, I did it on one of the four TVs I set this up on and it actually worked pretty well, I had to use over 40 ft of wire but that was to be expected since I didn't want the light to run all the way from the TV all the way around the room, I wanted it to be in certain spots.

  • @RBRM3

    @RBRM3

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@chrismarin2413 if you get the light bars that go to the monitors, you can have those next to your bed or whatever and have the box running on the TV at the same time but that's all that you can have running off of one. If they spent just a little bit more money they could charge the hell of a lot more, even though they should have done it in the first place to make it more compatible that way people would buy more of their products.

    I love the Govee Immersion TV light, I have a 43" TV and I and a lot of other people were wondering whether it would on smaller than 50" TV's, and I can confirm personally it does work on my 43" TV, you just have to be creative when applying the strip, you have to overlap parts of the strip to fit it inside the TV

    @@lukitasaguero2603 Hello I will certainly help, I cant take a photo of it as its wall mounted. Firstly ensure that the 4 parts of the strips are only on the sides they should be on the back of the TV, as in the smaller side strips only go on the sides and the longer sides on the top and bottom only. Next as your TV is 50" each part of the light strip will certainly be longer than the side of the TV, so you need to creatively fit the strip to each side accordingly by creating 1-2 small loops of the strips on each side so it fits the sides. Hope you know what I mean by this

    The one that works on a 50-55" simply goes up 6 in higher on the bottom because the strips are too long but it will go right to the very edge on the 55 inch. The only thing that really bothers me is that certain colors aren't shown and it substitutes so many of the colors as purple. As far as putting it on something bigger than it says, if it's not at least one foot away then you're going to see gaps in the color big time! I've tried putting the 50-inch one on a 40 something and it didn't work it was simply too long and the other way around it's way too short.

  • @RBRM3

    @RBRM3

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@lukitasaguero2603 it can be cut if you're using the very last strip, other than that no it cannot be cut as it will not work anymore, there are three connections between the four strips and if you wanted to actually rewire them yourself then you could shorten them but you're going to have to spend $20 and do some soldering.

    As larger size TVs get cheaper I think Govee should consider clients with 75-85 inch screens as well, and yes it should create the ecosystem to make other products (like the Lyra lamps) run in concert with the immersion system. Great review I might have to change my old system to the new one.

    @@geekrocker I'll correct previous measurement. It's about 4-5 inches from edge. But equal all the way around. You WILL get effects same as seen on KZread for 6199 strip on smaller TV. Govee app allows for dimming/brightening of LEDS. The big plus/minus no one seems to address is the OFF switch. There is not auto OFF. You either have to push on control box (but not and option if mounted to back) or through phone app. There is a timer tho. Wish it had an auto off if screen black for X amount of time. Not a deal breaker but something you might wanna know.

    Interesting, an 85, eh? Is your TV mounted on the wall or on a TV stand?And do you have a pretty big gap in the corners? With the strip not covering the entire screen, it’s possible that the strip color represented (on the video part mode) won’t line up perfectly .

  • @MrTekSuggest

    @MrTekSuggest

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hey there, appreciate it! When your screen goes mostly black the color should down shift to a soft white glow. I have seen on occasion when the strip uses a deep blue in black areas, but this is more rare. Try adjusting the saturation between 10-15% and recalibrate using this link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aK2FuNCKk9e1hrQ.html If you're still getting a lot of blue make sure that there aren't any other light sources nearby that the camera may be picking up, and then switch the camera to the opposite position of the TV (top or bottom, whatever that may be.)

    I agree, with an internal sync, grouping other devices would probably be easier. The thing with HDMI syncing these days though, it means that you always have to run an HDMI through your source. And some content providers are starting to crack down more on screen recording.

Do I decided to experiment with the calibration again and I finally got it to work very close to what I see in your videos. It's about 95% now compared to about 20% before. Anyway the way I managed to get it so close is instead of following the instruction animation I put the blue corner circles on the outside edges of the frame of my TV in the corners and then out the orange circles on the outside edges of my TV. It's like night and day compared to the way it was to the way it is now.
