This doesn't necessarily mean Zhongli is getting powercreep lmao. It's just something the community is saying. But if the shield of this new character is decent enough and also provides other buffs, Then the question is: will you use Zhongli or this new character? Zhongli's shield strength most likely will never get powercreep because, well, the majority of players won't wish on him.

I’m not a big fan of Zhongli and haven’t pulled for him yet, so I‘d be happy to get a different geo shielder instead! I already have Layla, but another shielder with a bit more shield uptime would be nice :)

I mean almost nothing breaks Zhongli shield already so why would they make someones shield stronger. But Utility wise depends. Like Bloom or aggravate teams like Kirara

I don’t think it’ll be power creep since support could mean like 5 different things in genshin. They could be healer, Shielder, buffer, reactor, Battery, or a mixtures of those. I hope She can be a support for Geo itself and not just another Yun Jin where she just happens to geo. We’ve been stuck with my boi Gorou for years, and geo would benefit from a 5 star support for it.

True to his position of Geo Archon, Zhongli has stayed rock solid in the game’s meta and usage rates, I feel like it would be extremely hard to displace him because you’d have to release a character who does exactly what he does but with juiced up stats

Same. I'll try to get C2 Zhongli instead of natlan characters since they should get a rerun before the end of natlan anyway.

Zhongli will always be a great choice for all players. I don't find him necessary but he's still the best shielder.

I totally agree, this channel feels like it’s made by someone who genuinely cares about their content and take a lot of thought to make videos! The videos are always very informative and entertaining and you also get warned about spoilers or false leaks :D That’s why this one is by far my favourite Genshin News channel!

I can see the next geo character being a healer since they don't have one yet. I hope that this next geo unit is a buffer/healer that works differently than Zhongli.

Geo has a healer and it's a decent one with good build i mean noelle she can heal when her shield is active and it's based on defense

Powercreeping an Archon inpossibley

So far the only natlan character I want is the pyro archon

my theory is that , that geo character is the geo sovereign maybe that's the reason she's power creeping zhongli

We haven't seen what level cap expansion will do for Zhongli. Ideally, all the existing characters will have more levels and a new talent or two once the main story is complete, the game engine is fully featured and Hoyoverse finally has a basic scale for how powerful and versatile any given character "should be".

It would be cool if she provides a buff based on how many shields you have - incentivising crystallise, Zhongli, Layla, the bell, etc. Kind of like what Furina did for healers

Remember guys the word in Yae Miko before her release. A lot of Leakers said she strongest than raiden Shogun (This another copium about power creeping archon) Its hard to tell if shield will be Meta in Natlan. We already know pyro resonance is ATK based and possible Pyro Archon buff the ATK, what the heck is connection of Shield and AtK ?? We didn't know if infused elements, Shield Breaking, Parry or we didn't know. • Liyue Introduced the shield meta (Just look Ganyu, Xiao and Hu tao before this unit need shielder that's why Zhongli exist) • Inazuma introduced the Energy (Eula slightly Fix by Raiden Shogun, some few character really need energy back then) • Sumeru Introduced the Elemental Mastery and Reaction (Yae Miko was buff by dendro. Kuki and kokomi was usable when dendro came out) • Fontaine introduced the HP manipulation (several Fontaine have Ability to Increase or decrease HP and all Team wide healing become usable after Furina release) • As of now natlan is questionable since if their want to buff shield as new meta. Possible Zhongli will abuse that buff include having pyro archon.

Don’t worry about not always using your new editing style, I think everyone will understand that you can’t always make those extremely high quality videos. Your old videos are great too!

I don’t have Zhongli, I keep missing him or losing the 50/50, so I wouldn't mind having a *similar* geo character. But I wouldn't want her to be a dang near copy, ya know? Kinda like how there could be an argument (idk if there ever was tho) that Clorinde is power creeping Raiden. But I feel like Clorinde and Raiden don't sit in the same team slot despite both being good or strong units. So that's my hope for this new geo polearm 5 star - that she's kinda equal but not an exact copy. I hope she works with the other elements somehow too thats not Crystalize. Geo is just never my first pick except the couple times I attempted for Zhongli and Navia lol

Even if a new Geo character comes out and powercreeps ZhongLi in the shield department, ZhongLi's shield still withstands pretty much every foes in the game so far. Unless there's someone who can crack his Jade Shield in a few attack, power creeping the shield department, especially power creeping Zhongli's shield, just doesn't feel like a huge concern to me. If the new character has utilities other than shield, then that would be interesting.

i really hope she gives interrupt increase on her E for entire party and geo dmg bonus or picking up geo shards will increase party overall 20% attack dmg(i know it isn't strong as the elemental shred but i didn't want to make her broken and plus i a mono element player and this ain't for everyone i know im selfish here) . and her ult doesn't do much dmg it self but give geo crit dmg(double the buffs c6?) and gains a shield, provides team wide healing and to balance this. Her shield won't be as strong as zhonglis and has shorter duration. her c2 allows her team mates geo or not, to gain interrupt resist for 15 seconds after her shield breaks? or scrap my c6 idea and her c6 instead auto summons another shield when shield breaks? nah that is a boring c6. wish we have a geo sumeru character that can manipulate sand. a geo 4 star support buffer and can summon quick sand? so a CC unit or a sand storm or a whirl pool in a sand to gather them up? or summon sand minions or sand towers. what was that league of legend character that used sand minions again to increase his range?

What are they gonna do, make a beefier/longer lasting shield ? Or does he give more buffs like fu xuan ? Or does he do more damage like aventurine ? Sorry wrong game

I’m pretty sure she will give shields but in a different way than Zhongli! Just like Baizhu’s shield is uncomparable with Zhongli’s yet so strong! Sidegrade are always better than upgrade in Genshin Impact! (And tbf an archon would be the last type of character they want to powercreep…)

I am not sure if she can as reliable and as GOOD LOOKING as Zhongli. I am very worried about the recent character designs.

Becareful, mihoyo could be intentionally leaking information (regardless true or false information) to force player buying welkins or crystal. Be skeptical and be wise with your money

I have both Yae and Zhongli on my main team and will not stand for this slander😤 Jk but shielding can't really be powercrept like damage. A properly built shieldbot Zhongli can take pretty much any hit, and his shield doesn't take too long to recharge, so in the best case another 5 star geo shieldbot would just be *another* Zhongli, not a *better* Zhongli (unless they literally made an invincible character lol). On the other hand, it isn't nearly as easy to build characters that one-shot bosses, so there's still room for power creep in any DPS category.

Yeah I quit doing floor 12 as well even though I can finish it, I'm tired from it letting me run after characters I don't like or trying to get full stars no more floor 12 and I will wish for any character I want . Floor 12 for very old F2P or P2P and mostly for whales who do Solo with c6 R 5 to show up
