My only gripe is the regulator gauge doesn’t give enough detail between 100 and 150. I put the mini 23 mm huma gauge on my wildcat. I’ll be doing the same to this. Thanks Rick for the video.

I cancelled my Impact order and went with the Maverick .25 compact. Started sighting it in after work today with Hybrids @912 fps. It was cold and breezy. At 42 yards looking impressive so far. I need a little more trigger time to finish up. Happy I bought it. Special thanks to FX USA, I emailed them about me messing up an O ring on the second reg and they sent out new O rings priority mail.....great service !

What's the range and use of the power wheel? Was hoping for a simple dial so I could turn it way down for backyard shooting or way up for hunting without having to mess with anything else. Any insights here?

Hi. Jus got mine today and I’m already in love!!! Came with the reg pressure at 100bar. With the jsb’s 18.13 on power setting 4 it’ shotting 920fps and it’s a pellet on top if the other at 50yds. Later I’ll try further and the 25.39’s. Also tried the nsa 24.7gr .217 and did just as good as the pellets at 50yds on power setting 7. It’s just not fair for the 🦎 iguanas.

Awesome stuff there Rick! Question for ya.... Your slinging a good hunk of lead there at a gast speed. How does the recoil of the gun compare to others that you have shot in the same power/weight category? There is some recoil in these things either from the hammer/spring movement and the projectile moving through the barrel. I'm really trying to see any movement in the gun when shooting it and it appears rock solid. It is mounted in a vise. Great info as always, your looking svelte and Merry Christmas to you and your peeps!

Weight goes from 7.2 lbs to 8 lbs by adding scope and rings? The scope and rings are less than a pound? Rick you are usually spot on- c'mon man! let's call a spade a spade those element scopes with rings add three pounds to the rifle. Love your videos, you the man

My Compact .25 is on the way!! I ordered a 580cc bottle and a .30 700mm barrel kit (MK3 barrel kits fit the Maverick) as well so have the best of both worlds....Short power house woods walker or EXTRA power house ground hog death ray!! Now who wants to bet we see a MK3 Impact in the next couple months....

interesting hearing the regs working in tandem.

I've got this gun ordered. Really interested in your regulator settings. Do you have the premium heavy slug barrel in the gun? Have you installed the power slug kit in the gun?

I had an FX independence in .22. More than once, I put 5 shots in one hole at 30 yards. Wish I had kept it.

Take your pic both are perfect for long range , but the M3 gives easier tuning . What I mean is more adjustability in the tuning .

Great review (as always) and I really think this thing will be a BIG DEAL and transform how future PCPs will be designed. My one concern is WTH do they only have 2 manometers, one for the bottle and one for the second regulator. This makes tuning the gun a real PITA. Come on FX... give us a manometer for the first reg. Aside from that, the gun is conceptually and ergonomically a great step forward. Huge power out of low settings with amazing accuracy. Very nice. Cheers Joe P.

Any pcp only needs one regulater. More parts more hastle. Less leak chances. They've figured out how to make one work and knocked it out of the park. The maverick doesn't need 2. Watch more videos and you will see this newer version is going to be the best! Or you can buy one like me to see the potential. Sta slinging that sweet air rifle lead! Ed da snippin backyard man💥💪😎

The pressure fill is 3600lb.i bought a benjamin recharge compressor to fill the bottle right on the gun,it cost 1450 dollars it fills the bottle up in about 3 min. I get over 125 shots out of a bottle of air mine is 25cal. Gun iwould like to get a 22cal. Because all my other guns are 22's I must.have 50 000 rounds of 22 pellets.good luck!

70 shots ,25 cal....pretty far from $2k. Pretty awsome.

Besides the high price in EU, this Sniper version still needs a Slug Power Kit, and slug barrel.

Comes with a smooth twist barrel which is good for slugs and already has a slug power kit available. I think it changes the pellet probe but don't quote me.

Slug power kit only cost 50.00 and for the gains in fps and fpe id say its well worth it!

Hello Sir, good morning. Great shooting! Hey I’m about to purchase a FX IMPACT Maverick.. I have a few question(since you’re an owner)! If I purchase the fx impact maverick in .25 cal and if I want to shoot the same rifle in .22 caliber. Do I purchase another barrel or do I just get a barrel liner ? Also is the power band for the .30 cal(7.62) the same power equipment for the .25 or is it a bigger tank involved and how big of a air tank can one purchase for the fix impact m3? #3- What’s the guys name whom is member Ernest? I’d like to find his KZread channel as well and subscribe

Based on how accurate the 34 grain jsb’s were out of the maverick sniper, in your opinion is it worth it to shoot slugs out of that gun. Would the slug groups tighten up with a superior heavy liner or should I just leave the original superior liner in and shoot it as is? Thanks Rick, lots of good info and I’m sure you spent a lot of time making this vid. I appreciate you taking the time to do these reviews

Depends on how far you want to shoot 200 yds with pellets or 300 to 400 with slugs . The superior heavy does work great for me with pellets and slugs . That’s what I use .

I got the 25cal sniper if you want to shoot light slugs stay with what Came on the gun shoots pellets and light slugs heavy slugs go with a slug barrel that what you do.

I want one. Guess I have to stand in line.

Just checked. Looks like about a month of wait time.

My maverick is shooting the 34 grain fx pellets at 940-950, is that too fast? If I go from 5 to 4 on the power wheel it drops from 945 down to 875....pretty big difference in settings. I’d like to get it in the 910-920 range you had yours in.

Try using the micro adjuster in the power wheel to fine tune the power level.

@@REDLION0044 that gun ended up having major problems, Sent it in to fxusa and they could not fix it. Sent me a new gun and zero issues now

If you want to shoot slugs go with the Maverick . But the Crown is no slouch either . You win either way

Where can I find the power settings? 7 is full power but eg setting 1 = ?? % of the full power? Just to know of this can be used to shoot at 20m. Or is this not usable for 20m? Greetings (also from Belgium :) )
