Main Engine relay? Or the fuel pump relay? In my car volvos40 exist both

Thanks I will try but my no power is coming to my fuel pump do you think this will make the power to the fuel pump come back again? Thankful for answer

Yes try this relay... I had same issue. Replaced fuel pump relay but Still No power at fuel pump....then replaced "main engine relay" (in video above) and then fuel pump is working (12 volts receieved at fuel pump)

Check the fuses too. There's a 15 amp fuse for the Fuel Pump, but there's also a 40 Amp that feeds it on the reverse side. If anythign else is not working for some reason, like Headlights, it could be the relatively hidden 40 Amp fuse.

brilliant. I'm having the same issue. Was it also bogging down. Mine would start when cold but then it would run rough and bogging down at intersections on low idle. Also i could hear the fuel pump kick on occasionally when I turned the key but sometimes I could not hear it. Like it was working intermittently.

Ok, mine did not have the blue relay. Mine is a 98 manual transmission. However I checked the 20 amp fuel pump fuse and it was not blown but the plastic was cracked. I also pulled the main relay, which on fuse map says it's the one with the purple stripe. I took it out and sprayed electrical contact cleaner both on the relay and where it connects. the car fired right up after doing these 2 things. thanks for your insight.

bro had the wrong relay fuse need a blue one and had a black one lol people you cant put the wrong size fuse relay because they are at different power surge heights thats how you blow a fuse when u put a 25 in where a 50 needed to be to weak and burns the fuse it will work but wont last sillys
