In August of 2023, Deer Park replaced their old Whelen sirens that had a various range of system-wide issues with a new 2001-130 system equipped with 131DST Strobes mounted on their rotator boxes. This 2001 located at Bayou Bend Park indirectly replaced a WPS-2750 formerly located a couple blocks west at the intersection of Wisdom Dr & Glenwood Ave between two residential homes. I also recorded an ambience of the new system test from Dow Park. The City of Deer Park tests their sirens every Saturday at 12:00 Noon.
