Famous last words- the weather is getting better 😂😂 I feel your pain mate, garden lighting causes endless problems- seems the way to go is extra low voltage and make sure all connections are jelled. Annoying on your part as materials are failing which should be more than adequate to do the job.

Use the wago mini gel junction boxes 🤟also as said above always spec low voltage lights constant current lights are brilliant for the distance you can run them 🤟

Had similar issues with Saxby walkovers within 6m of installation. Swapped the fittings for Collingwood and they've been completely trouble free for almost 11yrs. Wouldn't fit any other brand outdoors ever now

I have those connectors on my pond pump. The conical grip is against the gland nut.

Nightmare, I recon you'll be back again with those connectors. Any chance you can get some gel in them?

I hope you've still charged them for a day even if it has been a year or so. 3 - 6 months guarantee is adequate

How do you waterproof it if it’s covered in water - Gel?

Plastic grass, tiled patio, water can’t naturally drain away! No wonder they are wet.

Was the patio jet washed? The pressure is usually enough to blow the seals and drive water into these kind of lights.

How would that explain the water in the light fitting. Would you not consider that the water is running past the light fitting running down the cable and into the joint only a suggestion. Could you jot run a bead of silicone round the light fitting before fitting it into its hole. Fyi LAP at screwfix have a 3 year warranty. Lol.

Why use mains voltage lights? Why not extra low voltage? Far better for the situation and safer. Also the only join that will never fail within the ground is a resin join really.

The problem you have is that they are not submersible connectors! Water will collect in the holes and seep in. We never use mains in ground light really. Not worth it. For mains voltage you really need to fill connections under ground with gel. I use similar connectors to those but always keep them of the ground!

You have followed the manufacturer's instructions?

I still don't understand why manufacturers make these 240v, if the fitting had been MR16 and 12v most of these issues would be easily and CHEAPLY fixable. And would not trib your breaker.
