New Fashionista Barbies Review
Check out these new 65th Anniversary Barbie Fashionista dolls. These Fashionistas are a little different from the Fashionistas that came before them. I unbox the new Fashionistas to take a look at their clothing, makeup, and hair. Then I compare them to some of the older Fashionista Barbies.

The doll that has on the Twist and Turn Up the Volume shirt is in reference to the Twist and Turn Barbie. She was revolutionary at the time because she could twist at the waist.
The doll with the pink dress is definitely referencing the dress in color and style but her necklace is also a reference because the original doll was called the SuperStar Barbie.
Second release look much more exciting. I like these sort of but the second lot have more obvious inspiration.

It would be cool to see more tributes to vintage dolls released. In hand, though, these felt nice to me.

I am happy to buy a few but I think they missed the mark when it comes to being a tribute. If you didn't know you would think they were any old fashionista. I think when they did the Ken ones a year? ago they were much better.@@thattoylady
