Minecraft should add a command that detects when the player looks in a direction, like: /execute as @a at @s if entity @s[is_facing:"at":"x y z"] run say Hi Facing at a entity /execute as @a at @s if entity @s[is_facing:"at":"entity":"cow"] run say Hi, im looking at a cow!

You don't need that you need [hasitem={item=(item)}]

Okay imma be honest I hated this new execute command but after watching a couple of tutorials, since I understood the old version very well it was easy enough to try the new one. It's a little more complicated but it opens up more doors such as "unless" I kinda like the new command

@@momo_5193 uhh only thing i can think of is Detect if a player has a for example a speed potion in their inventory When the player drinks it It detects there is no speed potion in their inventory Then redstone torch mechanism to activate another command that gives them the effects u want Srry if its confusing

I wanted these changes to bedrock edition before... But i tried to use an execute command which i always used for multiple purposes, it didnt work... I tried on it many times but doesn't work... Then i realized that the execute command has changed... So now i searched and understood the command! Thanks buddy!
I was wondering why my execute command is not working (typing in command block) and then I typed it on my chat and see if it's all right but it seems different from what I learned and they're all new types of executes I tried to figure how they works but as expected it's not applying on what command output should do, Now that I learned it from you it expand the limits! thank you.

Can you set it so it only runs if something you throw is within the radius of a player because I have tried it and it won't work so like execute as @e[type=egg] at @p[r=4] run say hi (for example)
I’m trying the new execute command setting up the one player sleep and trying the execute as @a at @a if but the command block has a problem with bed? What do I type for it to work. The old way was execute @a ~~~ detect ~~-1~ bed 12 time add 150 the new way has me stumped by the word bed

You probably figured it already but you're gonna need to put "at @_" or "as @_"

what about the block state component that is part of the if block subcommand? After you type in the name of the block, you can type in the blockState. I haven’t seen anyone show an example of this.

What is the correct formula for the new execute command if I’m trying to type this /execute @e[name=“Rulputure”] ~~~ execute @execute @e[r=4] ~~~ structure load ZNZ ~~~ 0_degrees. On bedrock, I’m sorry I was working on a map when these changes were made.

Im trying to do a command where a block of Redstone is placed under a random armor stand with the same name, the old command was/execute @r[type=armor_stand,name="Chest1"] ~ ~ ~ setblock ~ ~-2 ~ Redstone_block I'm trying to do this for a random loot table and this new system ruined it, can someone help me update it? I've been struggling with this for a while it would be a big help.

I used to be good at commands,until the recent updates where this looks to be the new normal,I need to figure out block types like stone 0-15 or like nether_brick_stairs 6(for block rotation and types)

I watched another video of his on the setblock commands and he provided an id list for said conditions,this was a lot of help,props to this KZreadr to do the research for us and show us In the easiest way to use the new system. This is coming from a self taught command user that has been on bedrock edition since before commands where introduced
What command should I type to get the entity or player within a certain distance from the main command block to execute ? example : @a[r=10] it's not working now

Not yet, but there are add-ons that can detect sneaking with scoreboards

You use "if block" or "unless block" and "run" for that. Like this. Execute at @_ if block ~~~/^^^(coordinates) (any block you want) run (any commands) Another example: Execute at @p if block ~~-1~ diamond_block run particle minecraft:sculk_particle
can you execute if blocks with just 2 cordinates?

Ugh the old execute command seems so much simpler
2:10 ohh so basically the command is just running at your position but you're not the one running the command @s
This new command is confusing and adds nothing to the old command but making it worse. you could do execute @a ~~~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ (insert block) Instead of "eXeCuTe aS @a pOsItIoNeD aT @a iF bLoCk ~ ~-1 ~ (insert block)" which just wastes time

I thought so at first as well, but the addition of if and unless is actually pretty useful for a variety of more complicated commands. Either way it will become the only form of /execute soon and it will need to be learned.

@@real4kGaming I think having two forms of a command is really confusing, from my perspective it makes tutorials much harder to make and much harder to explain when people asking for help. And from a technical standpoint I don't think it's possible for both to work at the same time.

the new command is useful,but very buggy,i tried to make myself throw grass but it executed it for the block when i was too far away,i made a tickingarea too,does anyone know how to fix that because i dont see a flaw in my command

@@Shinx174 You don't need /execute for it. If you are meaning that the effects are lost when you aren't near commands, you need to use /tickingarea to fix it

@@Shinx174 Make items give effects? Like if you hold it it's gonna give you effects? You can use @_[hasitem={}] for that. Example(without execute): /Effect @_[Hasitem={item=Feather,location=slot.weapon.mainhand}] (effect) (number)) Example 2(Using execute): Execute at @_[hasitem={item=_,location=slot._._}] run effect @_ (effect) (number) Other than "item=" and "location=" there's also other things you can use like "quantity", "slot", "name" and etc. It's up to you!

A bit both games are now getting similar qnd that's good because some commands were trash on bedrock or are still and java commands are too hard to learn in my opinion

Not true, any existing command blocks written before the update will still function unless you manually go in and try to edit them.
