Knowing it can get that much power without blowing up, I'd do something rather gay: replace the turbo with a smaller one, and aim for 600 whp on 93 octane and a flatter power curve. It might be easier to drive, and have a better response in the 3000-6000 rpm range.

SalveMonesvol He's so pushing 40lbs of boost....That 9:1 ratio changes pretty quickly. My buddy has to run 106 octane in his 425 hp srt4 that's pushing 25lbs to keep it from knocking

Man! I wish I had an evo but I wouldn't tune it. I worked in a Mitsu dealership and drove the last 2015 evo final edition sold in 2016 to someone who owns a Chinese take out. The guy saved for years to buy it $60K in cash he paid for her. Beautiful ride!

horsepowers are proportional to the amount of explosion you can get from burning gas with air...so as long as your injectors can throw in as much fuel as needed and the block can hold it. props for building up a sick car!

No matter what car it is, Honda,Evo,Subaru. If it's fast in the owners eyes that's all that matters which makes your car yours. And not like someone else. Congrats for your bro 1320 video for his record standing. Keep pushing it but not to much.

People still have to get used to it since the 4B11T block is aluminum and not cast iron, so most would probably assume it would break easily if overdone. The bolts that keep the block together are weird too. Add to that the fact that the Evo is AWD with torque vectoring, so it drains most of the engine's power.

If you want to make that power and have a daily and track car, don't waste money on an evo. Buy a Ralliart. The sst transmission is far superior for both tracking a drag strips.

908 WHEEL horsepower. WHEEL, tool, not CRANK. AWD loses nearly 20% of its power output through the drive train. His crank number has to be clearing 1100. My 1g Eclipse on the track made 845awhp/740awtq. Bhp/btq: on the run with the motor out of the car, those numbers were 949/857. That's a loss of 104hp and 117tq. Or nearly 15%. I want to watch a 900hp civic get annihilated by a 900hp Evo. AWD vs FWD has everything to do with it, by the way, smartass. To get 900 to the tires in FWD, you only have to make 950-975. AWD, is more like 1050-1150.

First off, CONGRATS Chase! Its an amazing job that you and 3D Motorsports have done. There should be zero hate on this page about the car. If you dont like it, then don`t watch it and leave bullshit comments. I`ve went through the comments and I see some people on here talking about freakin GT500`s which makes me seriously laugh. My evo 9 is right around where Chase`s evo is, and let me tell you....good luck with a GT500. The previous owner of the evo I just bought has already taken out ferrari`s, lamborghini`s, you name it. He specifically told me to absolutely IGNORE camaro`s and mustangs of all kinds. Why? Because it would be a waste of time. That goes for even the ZL1 Camaro, GT500KR Mustang, and the ZR1 Corvette. So people need to relax, show some respect to Chase. So again, great job man!

I personally like this evo what the owner have done to it, it's a beast!! Most of haters leave most negative comment as they possibly can, just to ease their pain because they don't have what others got!!! I like all fast cars. I'm a 60's muscle car builder, and an STI owner. No one has outrun me in either yet. It's 90 percent driver, 10 percent car. I've had brand new GT 500 Cobras that couldn't outrun my worn out Stealth TT, and I've had dozens of GT/S/SI ricers that got schooled by my 65 stationwagon (2 barrel, 200 hp). I also have fun with the local breed of Super Diesel pickup truckers with their stickers that say 'its not smoke its riceburner repellent'. I let them tailgate to where they think they can drop the hammer on me, then speed up just a little, let them creep up again, find a nice long hill and then let them eat my rice dust. -WoW

I know the previous owner of this evo (he sold it recently) and there was no "NOS" what so ever in this vehicle. It is purely the modifications done to the interior and motor. Like the turbo, sleeved block, etc. It was also made to have the luxury of a dd evo. Still had a/c etc.

yes =) this way you can really see how much power is actually at the wheels since most HP numbers are measured at the crank not at the weels
