Why would you be excited about a compression profession being added to mining?

Good stuff, keep it up. Hopefully Friday has some good updates

I excitedly and cautiously await the arrival of these changes, glad they fixes the audio bugs, and anxiously await Friday so I can start speculating on the markets!

I'm really excited about the Winter Nexus it was a big turning point in my game last year. If I can take what I have learned over the last year I'm hoping that I will have an even better experience.

I like the new skill drag & drop feature.

I'm way too fresh in eve to already say about the changes/patches, glad they happen - that means game is still evolving :)

Looking forward to the new update particularly keen to see what the balance changes for the mining ships brings and the new about compression for moon ore and gas. The new exploration sounds like it could be fun as well. Though was sad to see null sec go no new content :(

Less than a month ago null got the new CRAB sites and all the new drone mutaplasmid stuff that they can farm exclusively :D

@@eventon9372 low sec can use crab it's not exclusive as well but I can't fly caps either. I guess the only thing that unique to null is the ess not that I consider that great content from a pve perspective. I understand that null is over populated though and they are trying to push people out of null

Interesting how are you excited about spending hours upon hours compressing moon ore at 10k m3 per cycle? Not really understanding how anyone is excited about mining ship changes considering all of them make absolutely no sense...

@@TJshine1 well I am exited at the 100 or so exhumers I have sold for 300m plus :D means I won't have to mine anything for a while prices been very inflated making like 100m per ship

I would really like to see the porpoise get gas compression, and add moon ore compression to the rorqual. Also, the Chimera is in desperate need of a buff. It would be kind of interesting to see the Chimera and archon get better bonuses to fleet boosting, or something out of the box that makes them fresh and important without pushing the Thanatos or nidhogger aside

All I can say is FINALLY!!!

IGN: Buck Wilde Rorq mining seems dead. Also, what's the point of the Orca now?

This is the best quadrant of the year IMO .I'm happy they will put more story stuff and lore in game and CCP is trying to fix the capital production bottlenecks we have in game. Looking forward to try this new sites and participate in the winter event.

I'm very happy with the ESS change, and am interested in what the mining changes will mean for industry and content generation. The new sounds are awesome :)

I'm hoping the update changes enough to make the Orca cheaper without making it completely broken useless. I could use a second Orca.

The primary timezone window should show a bar map for all 24 hours throughout the day averaged over the last month showing when players in that corp are active for that corp and assign the time zone accordingly based one when that is primetime for that area This should be able to be filters to days of week, I dont have much time to play, but generally Tuesday and Thursdays, I can so being about to find it by day would be amazing. I joined a great corp but I could never fly with them as they were mainly weekend and us east and were getting off by the time I was getting on as US west with a job ending later in the day. So it would list active pilots 5 Russia 10 EU 25 US east 75 US West 1 Hawaii 420 Aus

i was sad when the video ended so soon, i was hoping for it to be longer for one simple reason; having more content. I dont think CCP are doing enough with EVE rn i think they need to address some issues and find a solution to them. I also dont really understand why they're changing in the game corp ads because they simply dont work, ive tried using them in the past and nobody ever pays attention to them or uses them. In saying this however i am looking forward to the Winter event this christmas. IGN: THE Russian Terminator

I wasn't there before scarcity, so the current state in high sec is my normal. But I don't think they will put back the ores as they were before. Never felt like it in any of communication from CCP. Redistribution could simply be to take something that actually exist (ores in current belts for example) and redistribute it (in part of in full) somewhere else, like ore anomalies or other sites. So in the end, if some redistribution is coming, it could be perceived as additional scarcity by some people who just want to mine in belts if the current ores in belts is redistributed (in part or in full) in other places where you have to work more and compete more to get access to it. Like the need to travel more to find the ore anomalies and if they are relatively small compared to some belts, hence more competition to farm them. I visited a few ore anomalies in low sec (on Tranquility) and null sec (on Singularity), and they were all small size rocks in small quantities. Adaptation will likely be needed. They also said they would introduced new sources/increase resources, so the new sites for capitals are probably part of that. They had announced they would add gas sites and moon material I believe (or was it players peception/expectation, maybe in one of your video perhaps). I don't have any expectation for high sec for what they will announced on Friday. Anything they add might be in low or null sec, because more opportunity for explosions. But we'll see, can't wait for the dev blog! I clearly don't mine as much since the industry change and the drop in ore prices. IGN: Suki Vokkonen

I think they are making a lot of sense and streamlining the experience for miners a lot.

its good to have new exploration sites but I think relatively new players can't really benefit from doing these sites. won't these be too hard for them also thinking that ships needed are corvet ops, T3 cruisers. and not everyone go to Pochven for those sites which seems to be do able with low skills.

Bit of mixed feelings about the changes, mining updates do create opportunity for skilled miners, looks like we will see less solo Orcas in Hsec which is also great. On the other hand landing in a field of skiffs/procurers in low or null now will be a lot more scary. Also bit more risky for the Orca pilots with the new core , locking that Orca in place for extra boosts. Waste mechanic I do not like, but I guess its easier for them to tweak that rather than the amount of ore/minerals flowing into the market. Rest of the changes I def. like I just hope that new explore sites will give more loot as they seemed to be very poor the last time I checked.

You will see a lot less targets in space due to this patch. I have no idea what ccp is thinking about with these mining changes. How is making a profession out of compression supposed to be exciting exactly?

i don't like the new engine sounds. It's too much for plain old warping around. It only thrills when i'm evading others. The sound when you switch ships in station or undock sucks as well. Takes me out of my immersion and makes me think of placing a building on land in Rome Total War or something like that. I hate it.
