New Engine lifted in
Showing the installation of the new engine into our Yacht . Engine is a volvo D2-60 with a 150 sail drive. Showing the lifting arrangements and the work after the engine block was in place which includes the engine management system installed remotely off the engine block, the oil extraction pump and controls plus pipework, and electrical and piping ancillaries.

Great videos! Very informative. I whached this engine change with greate interest as I"ve got the same boat and have had the doubt of how it could be done. Lot's of hard work...!

Thanks for the video! Can you please tell me what brand and model of extra/second alternator you installed? Is it just the same Mitsubishi 12v 115 amp alternator? Did you upgrade to larger alternator? How is it working for charging?

Hi EN. We fitted a Balmar second alternator , think it’s a 170 amp and we run it at max 130 amps controlled through a MC 618 external controller. Did have to slightly modify the support bracket that was supplied with the original Volvo secondary alternator. Think the video blog mentions that - not a big job if u can handle a grinder and a basic mig welder. Been running great since we installed. Hope that helps Rgds Paul
