I think it'd be funny if Clouse was selected by the source dragons to host the tournament (I assume source dragons host the tournament of the sources... right?) and the ninja constantly question whether he's doing something shady behind the scenes, but in reality he's actually just being a humble host organizing everything

It seems the approach they're going for with the merge realms is that elemental powers are kinda gonna be a lot more of a common theme. Which can explain why Lloyd's vision had so many future ninja in it, there'll probably be enough elemental masters to have an entire ninja academy of them

Well, having the Element of Speed doesn’t (or at least it shouldn’t) mean just having super speed. Like, you could literally manipulate the element on speed. On objects, other people, and yourself. If they actually bothered to delve deeper into what the elements could do all the EMs would be seriously OP.

So according to my research, the elemental powers system work like this: A family bloodline is blessed with elemental power, and if the original master has a child, they lose their power since it has been transferred to the child in question. However, if a master of an element dies, as described by the crystallized overlord: "That would only unleash their powers. Which, in time, might find new champions." Which I interpret as the power leaving that now dead bloodline, floating around for a bit, and then binding to a new bloodline at random.

I hope Zeatrix shows up. If she’s still around, she could compete in the tournament, and the others will recognize her. She could help with lord raas and maybe fight Beatrix.

I feel like the matching outfits definitely more indicates to me that they're not competitors. They look more like civilians of the tournament temple CITY. They don't really look unique or important enough to be elemental masters. Even Mr Pale looks sort of like a sideliner.

So the “new” elemental masters that look to have the same clothes, here are my thoughts on their elemental powers, #1 mind, #2 speed, #3 bones (inspired by bone bending from the Avatar universe).

Maybe the green bone warrior is the new master of gravity... cuz hes waving his hands. but hes probably just cheering

I really don’t want them straight up replacing half the old EMs. It would feel incredibly wrong to me. And I’m usually great at accepting change. It’d be better if we just see some new powers. Perhaps they could add some unused elements like Crystal or Magnetism.

Maybe Zeatrix will also take part in the tournament.

Maybe this Tournament is more lenient on what an "Elemental Power" is? I mean Craglings probably have earth based powers and the guy in the wheelchair I also thought could be the Master of Speed. The Green Bone Warrior...really these might just be for a showcase, to see if anyone has powers(since some of them could just lie to get into this tournament).

I feel like the rock guy may have Golem creation where he can make anything look like him out of anything like wood plants, etc and they could be as powerful or more powerful who knows

It would be cool to have new elemental powers, but i want the old elemental masters too, that would be a plot twist, maybe even a new master of TIME ! It would also be cool to have garmadon, or Wu maybe finally re-uniting that would be great, as it does say only people with elemental powers are allowd to enter, so maybe Wu, or garmadon planned to meet the Ninja, as they knew they would be tricked into it or would need some guidnesce like season 4

I have a theory regarding the source tournament. The trophy would probably have some powers made by source dragons you know like the staff of elements. I think chen or cloise could be back. But whenever ras talked to his master he looked at the blood moon, could that mean his master is trapped there or someplace likw the forbidden five and they need the trophy to free him. I think overlord could return as he is one villan that always needed something or someone to free him.

that potential ice elemental...she's also got green skin, and what seems to be blue face paint but, I doubt we'd get another earth-themed elemental...since Earth can't be separated that easily if we did, it would be Lava/Magma also ice...why not Cold, if we have Heat we can surely have Cold

Only elemental masters I can accept being gone is chamille, Jacob and Travis (Travis an chamille are a bit of a long stretch) but unfortunately that’s not the case

I hope we get new elements instead of reusing old ones. One that i want is Space, but i cant think of how to balance it with Time. Time is split into Forward, Slow, Pause, and Rewind. Forward is an opposite to each of the other three. I cannot think of four things for a Space element that would be like this. And i mean Space as in the dimensions we move in, not outer space.

Ngl I'm really not that happy with this if this is the case. We barely get the Elemental Masters from ToE. Ash's power is already gone, we know nothing about what happened to him, and haven't seen him since ToE and being trapped in the Djinn Blade. Griffin Turner and Shade not being around anymore would suck as they were the standouts. I'm fine with new elements, but not new Elemental Masters. Neuro and Jacob better not be replaced.

We know that the majority of elemental powers were concentrated in Ninjago in some way probably by FSM (either he did some shady stuff on his realm world tour or recruited a rag tag team of elemental masters and all of their powers over time naturally got locked into ninjago's human lineages with a few exceptions like Imperium's royal family, I doubt they were all in ninjago by accident, nor that FSM supposedly commanded almost all elements by accident either) and that Ninjago probably suffered the worst of the original merge storm since it was the epicenter, so it's fair to assume it killed a lot of elemental masters just by chance. All of their powers would then become untethered like wind and immediately scattered when the realms collided (we can guess as much from wind) across the entire realm world. And some of them would naturally pass their powers on like Ray and Maya because they perhaps just started a family in the mean time or maybe got too old for heroics and passed it on to a selected worthy successor. What you have to understand is that the point of other elemental masters wasn't "Look how cool they and their powers are!", it was to show us how vast the world is, the fact we don't even know if any of them are still alive is the entire point. It's meant to give the feeling that there is stuff going on outside ninjago city and its surrounding region. For all we know, all of them fought 2 Unagami scale villains and that news never travelled up to us because it was a regional threat, like Unagami. On a side note, this is such a "Old ninjago is better!! 😡" opinion, if you're just gonna go on on a loop how better the old seasons are, keep re-watching them and let us enjoy the new stuff in peace.

You still do sound like one of these people though, "the ninja have ton of plot armor"? Kai was literally banished to Ninjago's backrooms in the latest currently available episode! Arin straight up lost his fight with Ras so hard that he might be going down a Morro type path! (wildbrain ninjago would have just have them fight to a draw probably). The ninja have suffered their heaviest defeat since season 8's finale, since they not only lost a member like in seabound, but unlike seabound, the villain partially won and ran off to fight another day unlike Kalamari. Wu is also probably dead. It's not a stretch to say that some of the elemental masters died to the merge, or passed on their elemental power because they got too old or started a family or had a family in general or whatever. Quit being blinded by nostalgia
