Since this was essentially an infomercial, can you help clarify what they mean by “twice the cooling power?” Does that mean it gets twice as cold as the Pod 3?

The value in this video is we get to see how it unboxes and its installation. Other than that, it feels too much like an infomercial. Let's say the quiet part out loud: Eight Sleep team gifted the device, obviously, in exchange for the exposure. Shervin must have a few reservations on this product, but is put in the impossible position to not say them, sticking with a salesperson-like demonstration nearly exclusive of the product's features and benefits.

Shervin, great video! I’m deciding between pod three and pod four and can get a pod three much cheaper than the new pod four. I don’t think the quieter pod 4 benefit would be valuable to me but a significant improvement in sleep quality between the 3 and 4 be important to me. Is your sleep quality significantly better with the four or is it about the same as with the three?

Nothing better than watching someone sleep while I can’t sleep

It’s a cool first step. But it seems like a small miss when they talk so much about dual this and dual that. But then if I snore then my partner’s side of the bed is going to move too? I guess they’d have to start offering twin xl sizes for that.

If they want it to work with any mattress it has to be the whole bed or you’ll just end up rolling on your partner or straight off the side of the bed if one side is elevated on a regular mattress

Does it have dual zone snoring adjustment or how does that work will it tilt the entire bed for both sleeps?

Hi Shervin, How does the elevation work? Is it split or does it raise the whole mattress - it's hard to understand given the split panels, but looks like it would raise a whole mattress (if not split). Doesn't this impact the sleeping partner then?

i think it raises both side of the bed at the same time no split! since your mattress is also one piece - i don't think that work very well

hey man - i've never had a 8 pod, but I did use the sleepme pro dock something. It cooled really quick and I liked it, but I sleep naked and my skin felt really uncomfortable against the cover because it felt like a fabric covered plastic bag in the sense that my skin couldn't breathe when laying on it. Do you sleep with clothes on? Have you or any of your viewers expressed this sensation? Is the 8 product better with this particular issue? Or does everyone just sleep with clothes on and I'm the only one lol

i sleep without most textiles on. i think my sheets might be different, but i dont get the plastic feel. i think this new one has better cushion so you will not feel the tubing as much. I tested all the popular bed cooling devices here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZXiE17txo7K9g7Q.html

So if your partner is snoring and the bed elevates, wouldn’t it then wake the other partner up if it’s all one and not spilt?

Does the new cover work with the Hub from the Pod 3? I would love a more comfortable cover, but no need for an updated Hub.

This model might not be for me but I will FOREVER sing 8sleep praises. So we had a old model that had a known defect and was WELL PASS the warranty as well. They gave us the option to just purchase a new cover instead of having to bite the bullet to get a whole new system.

I might be use to watching lots of videos filmed on iPhone (so even seeing depth of field in shots is nice haha), I just noticed how clean the shots were, I could tell there was time put into showing details. There are other videos I’d say are your best filmed videos but this is probably one of Eight sleeps best filmed product videos on KZread.

I feel like THIS is the point sleep 8 took it too far...is there a real genuine need for this for the mass market? Just make temperature control cheaper and quieter..so it's.not a second mortgage.. this makes your bed look like a hospital....yeh it's a no from me dawg

hm, weird, the pod 3 also 'shows' snoring in the app... so,.... how does that work? (since it shows extremely high snoring values) Isn't snoring detection then special for the new one? Second. I have the pod 3, and you claim 'it's silent' , well, if you go to extremer colder temperatures, you can barely call it 'silent', it's noisy! Besides, to cool, it releases heat from the device, so you bed matras maybe cooler, but the room temperature goes up! And for people that wanna know how that feels, it's kinda weird feeling a 'bit colder matras', but the rest of the bed is warmer.

they're both using the same hardware around your chest to detect snoring. Snore mitigation is exclusive to the Pod 4 Ultra not sure what you're db in your room are but it's hands down the quietest product I've testing at max cool/heat temps: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZXiE17txo7K9g7Q.html

@@ShervinShares nah doesn't mather now for me, my Pod 3 got a leak, so... expensive 'loss' . Did read on fori that more people have this issue. It's not that robust as they and you influencers want us to believe sadly. Luckily it was a small leak, and I detected it fast, but I read stories of people who's whole matras was soaked. In my case that would have been extra loss, since I have an already expensive AUping bed. I think I leave it with Eight sleep... to expensive, and despite that I like the idea, and even like the 'metering' of it,... I think I'm not buying a new one. PS would help if they sold the cover separately.. since the 'pod' hardware is still working. I bet more people will have an worn Pod cover... especially since some don't even put covers over it. With mine, even with a cover, shown some wear.

It still amazes me that a company charging well over $2K for this device...and a subscription to the device a consumer just shelled out their money for still doesn't have a very basic hand held remote control, that would cost them about $10 to create! Another big miss for 8 Sleep!
