That new blue colour on the golf looks stunning 😍 got to hand it to Volkswagen their new colours recently have all been great. Also how stunning is the DS - I saw the photo a few days ago and was blown away by the design. One of the cars we had in the family when I was little was a Citroen BX and the car and it’s suspension always fascinated me - hopefully if the DS makes it to production they’ll make sure hydraulic suspension is present and correct…. One of the few car regrets I have is that out of all the cars I’ve owned in my life I didn’t purchase a C6 back then. A colleague had a Vel Satis when they came out and I was quite envious of that (as embarrassing as that is now 😂). Now all the used C6s are shabby or have huge mileages, but if ever I come across a tidy one I could be so very tempted 😂. Hopefully you’ll give us some Up!dates on how the little up goes next week - just remember to leave your mum some petrol (not a lot just some) 😂😂 Hope you enjoy SMMT too Sam and just think this time next year you’ll be let loose driving more stuff when you hit 21. I’ve noticed a lot of people commenting about you being old enough to drive - I get the impression it’s a frustrating reoccurrence for you, but honestly try to enjoy it while you can!!- Shops stopped asking me to prove I was 25 (before I even got to 25!! 😩😂) that’s a slap in the face your youth is behind you 🤣🤣 Also that license plate made me laugh to think of a Crosstrek zooming about with the number plate Scouse 😂😂. Ace of them to post that to you ❤ my nieces boyfriend is from the states and the Americans are brilliant fun. Translating our local dialect never gets boring… So a Scouse American mix will be brilliant 😁

Yes Volkswagen’s colours are really great! Being at SMMT yesterday it’s clear to see bright colours are making a comeback which I’m so pleased about. The DS does looks good, it will be interesting to see if they decide to make it, however their high prices are hard for most people to justify! The C6 was a beast, I suppose the closest thing to it now is the C5X. The Up! was great, it didn’t get massively better fuel economy than my golf averaging 60MPG but it’s not bad, it’s just the small tank meant I did have to put 5 expensive litres of motorway fuel in! Yes next SMMT should be good fun when I’m 21, I still enjoyed it anyhow though! Yes I seem to be getting more age related comments as time goes on (as though I’m ageing backwards 😅) Yeah, Ian and Gina are great people it was so lovely of them to send over the plate and I’m very happy it’s on my display 😊

Motorway petrol 😱😱😱😆 - did you take the Up! All the way to Millbrook Sam?!? Mind I’ve driven a 45 year old mini to Silverstone and back which isn’t far from Millbrook - the Up! Would be like a little Mercedes in comparison 😁 Pleased you had a great time though and let’s hope 3 door cars are the next thing to make a comeback!! I do miss the choice of 3 doors 😊
