@@pedinhuh16 Yeah, the top speed in GTA VI for a car should be around at least like 200 mph. It doesn't need to be like 270+ or anything, but if the top speed of the fastest vehicle in the game is like 209, that's definitely good enough imo. Imagine a Bugatti Veyron only going 120, it's just ridiculous, that mf should be going 190 at LEAST

​@@DeadSpacedOutI think it's like 180 mph for the fastest car in the game. And that's in the city. A super flat road is like barely 170. And even the fastest jet is 230 at high altitude I'm pretty sure.

Seems like Rockstar Games still remember Midnight Club's spirit. Those drag race intros look so much like the Midnight Club 3 pre-race intros!

It kinda looks like they're planning on making GTA 6 a kind of full-on arcade racing game (that also happens to be an open world crime game) for the people looking for a good arcade racing game as there aren't any in the market currently but they're using GTA Online to test the waters first. GTA Online managed to make as much money as it did over the course of a decade because it was essentially being used as a replacement for the Midnight Club games as almost everybody bought Shark Cards to buy, customise and race cars. They are definitely going to do the same with GTA 6's multiplayer but they will probably make it even more like an arcade racing game to appeal to those players and therefore sell more Shark Cards or whatever the GTA 6 equivalents will be.

When was the last Need for Speed with drag racing? Yeaaah...

The burnout that players have to do at the start of the drag race looks like it was ripped straight out of Need for Speed Prostreet while the actual drag racing itself looks kind of like a mix of the drag races from Underground 2 and Most Wanted 2005.

I really hope that GTA 6 will be more car focused. With the recent updates to GTA V this seems to be the case.

@@sanderhackerhd8369 you can add bots in the editor now , they drive pretty good but they are limited by top speed and cant choose where they go they are amazing rally drivers

As a need for speed fan, rockstar is adding stuff that should be in nfs and that saddens me. e.g. PROPER drifting (relatively speaking)

I’m really hoping GTA6 have proper and unique exhaust notes for each individual vehicle, also the option to supercharge or apply turbo to respective cars. That would really make me a very happy car person.

They suck though. Hopefully you can make custom drag races, and it doesn't HAVE to be more than a mile and a half long or something. Why do they honestly give a fuck how long a custom race is?

Also, i love it how the speedometer is deliberately lying to you like that. Aint no way those cars are keeping 150mph without NOS, theyre going way slower.

The only issue with short drag races is the loading takes so long that the race would be shorter then the load times even on new gen

At least we have an official way now to see the amount of gears and actual top speed of a vehicle

If i'm being honest, I think the reason we have things in the game like Drift Racing and now Drag Racing, is because Rockstar recently acquired a chunk of FiveM Mod Developers. And ya know what, I am ALL for it, keep it coming Rockstar! but for the love of EVERYTHING, can we please get better payouts? The car i'm racing in is worth over 2 Million Dollars and my prize for winning a 2 Mile Race is $2,000 AND it's on Double Money?! Come on now... $3,000 should be the minimum WITHOUT Double Money at least.

I guess its close enough. There's no 1/4 or 1/2 mile races, and most of the cars need a sound and speed update. But they really should make it where we can shift in a regular session. Probably do a input to swap from shooting to shifting.

I reaaaaally hope top speeds of cars are getting adjusted in GTA6 cause 120mph max on most cars just aint it... (yes I know its cause of hardware back then) manual transmission would also be fun but could get iffy cause of shooting and switching guns while driving etc...

Now the Tuners & Outlaws update is complete after 8 years.

Mafia 3 had manual gearbox’s on launch. They can 100% do this and make it happen in gta 6 and offer an option for manual transmission while driving as a preference setting.

Getting some NFS vibes from this update indeed!

With midnightclub LA they already created a working mechanic for shifting, just use that

To answer the RPM issue, the engine sound is separate from the actual internal RPM. They increase the RPM and gears even without any more acceleration, simply to make it seem like you're still accelerating. Makes using ikt's Manual Transmission mod a little annoying.

Hello guys I'm new at the drag race soo for some reason When a drag race it doesn't show any buttons what to do when it says shift like "what am I supposed to click?" It says shift up but I don't see any button or anything I would really appreciate if you guys could help me out THANK YOU

I was in 1st for my second race and suddenly 2nd place zooms through my car wuth the nitrous. So I sprayed mine and tried the same. I didn't notice that contact had come on once they passed me and I absolutely pitted the poor driver into the wall and they spun into traffic. I felt bad because I legitimately thought I would go through them as well so I slammed the brakes and waited for them to get going again. Took 3rd that race.

There should be drag specs for certain cars kinda like what they did with drift cars and HSW cars Drag spec has shitty handling hella high speed and a parachute with wheelee bar if needed
