Jessica alter is a great and versatile unit that is useful in a lot of content and particularly useful in IS where she can solo carry a lot of early maps while you're trying to build out the rest of your team.

Regarding the Lone Trail event, I don't think I can say much without it being spoiler, but as others have said, it's one of the genuine best Arknights story, and it reveals a LOT of very important lore. I don't remember if it's directly mentioned that it links to Endfield, but a lot of people have agreed to say it is. Also, I LOVE the OST for that event, despite it not being that "varied". Ho'olheyak. You had it right: Ho-ole-hey-yak The community just calls her "Holy Heck" tho. 😂 Muelsyse. Mule-sees (like the present tense of 'to see'). Or just Mumu for short. Also, the "Kristen" mentioned in the event is "Kristen Wright", one of the 2 co-founders of Rhine Labs (alongside Saria). She is directly inspired by the Wright brothers (the ones who succeeded in the first flight)

Also, if you ever do reactions to Character EPs, Ho'olheyak's is one of the songs with the biggest dichotomy between the genre and the lyrics, imo. Very chill song, very depressing lyrics.

I'm SO EXCITED for the day that I can tackle Lone Trail! The fact that it's set in space (probably) AND reveals so much important lore makes me super hyped for it! I can only imagine just how much everyone looked forward to playing it when that teaser came out. Makes me wish I played this game earlier to experience it with everyone, but better late than never, right? XD LOL HOLY HECK! I guess I should just call her that. haha And Mumu! Would make it a lot easier in that case!

Here we go agane: 3:44 - Very significant importance. On the same level as our 1st launch of human to the space. 5:47 - She's free unit from this event and lucky you - CN just got a rerun of this event, so you will be able to get her in the next 6-7 months. 7:03 - Yeah this event is permanently available in Intermezzi Tab in Terminal. You cant the rewards from it atm tho since there's no Record Restoration for it yet. 11:14 - Experimental version of Contingency Contract. When 1st cycle of CC ended - we had no news about it for a while and instead devs started working on other gamemodes, including this one, that might will replace CC for the 2nd cycle. 12:21 - Thats Latin, basically local language of Laterano, country of Sanktas (aka Angels) 17:12 - Yes that's Elysium 22:16 - CASC is basically Chinese Space Program. Not a game, but a whole organisation specialized at space exploration. 27:04 - Fun Fact: This operator earlier was an NPC from a Operational Intelligence mini-event from 4 years ago, which was literally the 2nd event ever in the game. She's also considered an NPC who took the most time to escape called by the community The NPC Jail, where some NPCs stay until they presumably become playable. She was also drawn by Studio Montagne, company that helped with starting Arknights. To this days Studio Montagne presumed to not working with Arknights anymore since its logo later on disappeared from most places. 32:17 - IS#4 and So Long Adele was showcased together during CN stream. IS#4 however came out after So Long Adele and not together with it. 32:52 - Nomadic cities are extremely expensive and only goverments and very rich organisations can afford them. They also have different specialities (Like for example Rhodes Island landship was originally created in RimBiliton as a moveable minning station with all minning equipment installed, which was not utilised by Rhodes Island due of their own goals). There's still some countries who either cant afford these or simply doesn't want to due of their ideologies.

For the arknights space collab. Casc stands for china aerospace science and technology. Yes this game somehow collabed with their country's space agency. Why? Cause Why not. (Imo they needed to research for lone trail, endfield and another event) Also the ejya alter trailer still amazes me, its blurry and hard to hear on purpose to show viewers how bad ejyas current condition is

Players would tear up during lone trail for the quality of the story, players would tear up during Adele because it is just depressing.

- Pinch-Out was Arknight's attempt as "the next Contingency Contract". It wasn't that greatly received, but I personally didn't mind it as much. - Laterano Spiritus Sanctus - It's in Latin. It's basically the origin story of the Sankta (the angel people) - CASC is the 'China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation'. It's a "Real Life Collab", like the one they had with the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) - "There are so many scary things, in this world" I mean, there is literally a faction based off of Lovecraftian horrors (aka Cthulhu)... 😹 - Eyja is so precious! But then I remember her current condition, and I tear up 😥 35:45 - The audio change, when the woman (Eyja's mom) 's voice gets muffled, is literally a representation of what Eyja can hear, with her condition. Eyja's parents were volcanologists. They died together when investigating one, leaving Eyja (Adèle) alone. On top of that, she's infected, and is literally the one operator who is the most severely infected out of ALL of them, where she lost like 50% or so of her hearing AND sight. I think she's the closest operator to what we could call being "terminally ill". Also, her (torn) lab coat at 36:32 is the only memento she has of her parents (it was her mom's lab coat)

@@Trailblazer_Ririna The Seaborne (the enemies in Stultifera Navis and the other events centered around Skadi, Specter, Irene, etc.) are the enemies in question. Very creepy. And honestly, I just default to calling Arknights a "Grim Dark" game. If you read Children of Ursus, or a lot of the characters' background lore, it's quite dark, although more in a "depressing" way than in a "scary/creepy" way.

The music in the background of the Lone Trail official trailer is called Control's Wishes and it makes me intensely emotional every time I hear it...both because it's utterly gorgeous and completely fitting with the hinted-at theme of space, and also because of exactly how the event story ends. If you have the time and interest, Marcomeatball has a video analyzing the music and commenting how it's so perfectly fitting. You are also absolutely correct (as other comments have said) about how Lone Trail has, frankly, enormous implications for the setting of Arknights. 12:20 Latin. It's in Latin. 41:08 Jessica does look cool in that outfit...but she's still teeny tiny, at 147cm tall (or juuuuust about 4 foot 10 in freedom units). But her strength in her operator profile as noted to be really, really high, thanks to lugging all that firepower around constantly. Tiny cat who can bench press someone twice her size!

i mentioned this in my last comment, but lonetrail is absolutely my favorite event, with muelsyse (green haired water elf gal) being my favorite character, rhine lab has gotta be my fav group definitely one of the best written arknights event, and yeah it had some pretty big lore implications in the story for the SN rerun, yeah its quite a hard event lol, especially if you dont have units that stun/freeze/silence/etc, the story is pretty bangin tho, and i do love the abyssal hunter events laterano has gotten a decent bit of focus, and has definitely intrigued me quite a lot due to stuff like their "Law" and how they fairly unique they are to other races (specifically their empathy) also just the general vibe of the place lmao, especially the music. gotta love church type music mixed with like, dubstep or whatever lol (the events have banger boss themes like andoain's) 22:18 - im pretty sure CASC is pretty much just Chinese NASA lol oh goodness me, IS4, i need to get back on that grind there is some weird scary shit going on over in the icefields (and a bit of lore on the uh, "ursine officers" it mentions) + i need to actually go read typhons event lol, i got lazy when it came around (gotta read that sami lore) oh my god, so long adele made me feel so idk lmao it made me feel things, great event, loved the music so so much, swire alter is hot as hell, eyja is cute and im fucking depressed (the muffled audio in eyjas preview makes me sad :( ) alsso yeah, most important cities are movable (aka nomadic cities) also yeah, a lotta people have gotten the banner ops from the free pulls (ive perssonally witnesssed someone get like 3 6*s in the first free 10 pull (sobbing at my accursed luck, i had to hit soft pity like 3 times before giving up)) blacksteel event was pretty cool, enjoyed the focus on jessica, good story, enjoyed it (i fucking hate the bank) i think there was a happy go lucky event but i dont remember it rn (i swear there was one) anywho apologies for the long comment aha, i just like this game quite a bit

Funny enough I got Virtuosa off the free single pulls. Also Lone Trail is easily my favorite event, music, characters, theme. It's all great and them giving Silence Alter for free was the cherry on top.

Re: the Laterano story video, they were speaking in Latin. Event and character PVs in AK often feature the language of the region or the character. So the videos for Columbia (US) events are often in English, the music EP for Swire Alter was in Cantonese (Cantonese being the main language in Lungmen, aka Hong Kong, as opposed to Mandarin for Yan/Mainland China), the Leithania events feature German as Leithania is Austro-Hungary, etc. I can't wait for the Rim Billiton (Australia) event to feature true blue Strayan, throw a shrimp on the barbie dialect. HG has already contracted Australian performers in the past (Regan, who sang Under Tides' I Believe In Us, was from Australia).

This is what happens when I comment immediately… "So Long Adele", with Eyja and Swire, was about 4.25 years. Lone Trail was 4th anniversary and Zwillingstrume Im Herbst was 4.5. Summer events (Adele, Dossoles, Ideal City) are usually smack in between .0 and .5 anniversaries (CNY is on the other side of the schedule, generally)

It's true that the pacing for Arknights' early story is pretty slow - the first four chapters are a rough read. Chapter 5 is where it starts to take shape, and Chapter 6 is where the ride really begins. The side stories and intermezzi events are easier to digest since they're mostly standalone affairs (though they do often intersect with one another). Pretty sure that the side events are also designed to be friendly to newer players (the learning curve is much gentler). The further you get in the main story, the more the difficulty ramps up (since it's assuming that by a certain point you're comfortable with tackling more challenging enemies).

it's crazy how significant and how much lore drop is in the Lone Trail event, it can be a main story material but probably wasnt because the current main story focused on Victoria But it's very very long like 8 hours material and that's without the actual stage, and it's actually an follow up from previous event: Dorothy's Vision. You dont need to read Dorothy's Vision but you will have a lot of missing context, like some of the characters motivation and how Colombia works as a country

But then I recall that she's the first operator that I feel like a lil sister to me since first year, and I remember wanting her swimsuit skin for her justice. Pinch-Out Experimental was basically beta for CC Battleplan, but the contracts weren’t done correctly. This resulted in _hours long_ stall strats for high scores. Thankfully it all got fixed by Pyrolysis

Fun fact about Orchid's skin: there's a story behind it. In her operator record, Orchid got commissioned to make a bride dress for one of RI's patients. You can see it right next to her in the skin's art. Because it was never, and will never be worn.

Has anyone ever gotten a 6* banner operator with the single free pull? Theres actually quite a story about one such case. One Doctor just fell in love with Kal'tsit at first sight, and started saving for her. Thing is... At that point in the game, Kal'tsit wasn't a playable operator, nor had she been announced as such, nor was there even any indication of such. But they saved their originium anyway. On day 430 of saving, Kal'tsit was announced on CN. On day 610, her banner drops on global. They've saved a whopping 490100 originium. And then the first free pull? Kal'tsit. It took 143 pulls to get her to pot 6, and those pulls also had a Skalter and a Ceobe

pinch out was the introduction to the new CC layout it was an absolute pain to do because of the stupidly high defence risks that would give enemies over 1k defence

And all she wants to listen to her mom's voice one last time before she can't 😭😭. And if only the lava had been slower her parents might still be alive and she might have not been in so much pain😢.

Pinch out was basically a test version of the new CC format. Which failed. I mean, who would want to fight a 9 million hp enemy with, i don't really remember, 9k def and 60 resist.

@Trailblazer_Ririna kill everything except 9m hp one, make an usable afk team, go run a marathon/cure cancer/fly to the Mar, and by the time you return the enemy is about to die. Someone literally afk their computer for 10 hours btw, which is nut.

You should absolutely get Specter's self-yuri skin! Its great and so is she when you get her

Lone Trail is indeed peak Arknights storytelling. The event was STUPIDLY huge xD but not only as an event, but also for the incredible amount of world building we got..... also, the second Muelsyse was revealed to be playable, I yelled in happiness when I saw the CN stream, you have no idea, ahahahaha.... been wanting her since Mansfield Break! Alter Silence and Ho'olheyak were also very cool additions! And you are correct, we are indeed going to space in this 1! =D Also, as adorable and lovely as Muelsyse is, her lore is..... insanely heartbreaking.... not gonna spoil about her background but god damn, she deserves ALL the hugs, just like Jessicat! Hortus de Escapismo was haaaaaard, nothing worse than escort missions, lol. But yeah, most if not all Sankta are from Laterano, unlike most other races who can be born anywhere! So yup, Federico too. His drip is some of the best in the entire game, IMO, he is such a badass. Funny, yet badass xD Ah yes, the 4th Anniversary PV is MUCH funnier when you find out why Muelsyse and Ho'olheyak have beef, lol 33:20 yup. I got Arturia with the free 10x pull ^^ So Long Adele was by far the most wholesome event in the game, but it also had it's sad moments, cause it's Arknights. And the stages were tough AF too, no joke. God damn Wizard sheep.... 35:50 it's not a fun trailer, the video is from Eyja's perspective, she's going both blind and deaf due to her Oripathy symptoms, her illness is 1 of the most serious out of all our operators... makes me sad... WE MUST CURE ORIPATHY FOR OUR GOAT DAUGHTER!!!! Oooohhh boy. Alter Jessica event. So much badassery and sadness. Also has 1 of most punchable antagonists, since Mephisto... Also their FIRST bunch of lore since release, Blacksteel has never had a single event before this 1, lmao. Only took almost 5 years xD and yup, they are a merc company, lead by Cliff! But yeah, A.Jessica is real good! Great with stun abilities AND you can turn her around! BTW, I have almost every 6* built, so if you wanna try someone you can simply ask me on Discord, Rina! Can't wait to see your reaction to the next ones, Zwillingstürme im Herbst and The Ride to Lake Silberneherze are sick! PS: If you think the main story is hard, try playing the EX and bonus stages in So Long Adele. You will curse the Wizard sheep to hell and back. I went ballistic on a bonus stage and just refused to play the event further. Never done that for another event... >.>

Basically, everyone needs a hug in this game. I guess I'll need to adopt everyone in that case. LOL I'm legit amazed at how it took 5 years for Blacksteel to get an event though. I mean better late than never, I guess. XD I can't wait to check out the rest of the teasers, trailers, and PVs! Hopefully, the next one will be the last one (or second to last)! haha

Good plan, just start housing every person in Rhodes Island and give out free hugs. Too much hardship for all these poor people! And yeah, Blacksteel has always been interesting to me, cause we got a few operators from there, but we haven't known ANYTHING about the company itself until a few months ago xD Looking forward to what you think of the next trailers, up until the 5th Anniversary that just got revealed a few weeks ago..... oooohhhh boy, we got some insane content incoming!

Welp, another reason to never isekai into Arknights if it can even happen in the first place.

Event main stages are usually easier ones, EX stages are the hard ones. Main story now requires a good squad to go through, because difficulty doesn't scale down at every next chapter. And main stories take a lot of time. I am at chapter 10, have been lazy with it, but I know, I have to go through it, because latest developments shown in CN servers look too crazy to skip.

@@Trailblazer_Ririna Right now there are 13 chapters and CN just had 14th. Talulah arc is like a first season and story in Victoria is second.

The CASC event, as others have already mentioned, is a collaboration with China's own national space agency, the direct equivalent of NASA/JAXA/ESA. Because of this, it is very extremely unlikely for us to ever get that Amiya astronaut skin on the EN server, and the same probably applies to the JP and KR servers as well. The US actively enforces sanctions against CASC and it would take a lot of legal wrangling or loopholing to convince politicians that our gacha game is not intentionally trying to promote things they dislike. It might not even be worth the effort as far as Yostar is concerned. This is the unfortunate reality. On the flip side, we are only now just getting the KFC collaboration skins in the EN server after the removal of all KFC-related branding and iconography on the skins... after more than four years. Who knows, maybe the Amiya skin might make an appearance another four years from now if Yostar actually tries to put in the effort. Though the way they tied the KFC skins to irl merch purchases with insane shipping costs really harms their credibility. The JP server was able to make a new collaboration with KFC Japan so those players can just order cheap KFC meals to get their skins, but EN can't do that because it is too tedious to make separate deals with each individual country's KFC, if they even have any. But tying the skins to expensive merch with exorbitant shipping fees and import/customs taxes is not what anyone wanted. Speaking of which, there is currently an ongoing web event on the official website for Arknights Global, which requires you to log in on the site and do some small tasks daily for free in-game rewards like LMD, materials, and even a skin for Ifrit (even if you don't have her on your account yet). The skins for Exusiai and Croissant are locked behind merch paywalls but at least we get one out of the three for free. And even just the money and mats are a big boost for newer players. We have around two weeks to do this web event but you should get started on it early so you don't miss out on the rewards, if that matters to you. The Ifrit skin will probably be permanently unavailable after this web event ends. We shouldn't expect any reruns. By the way, you are indeed getting closer to the most recent content that is currently on the global servers, but Haruse's playlist also includes the trailers and animations for events that are still currently CN-exclusive, up to 6 months ahead of where JP/KR/EN are now. You will eventually notice the upload date of the videos jump backwards by 6 months to account for that gap. If you are going to react to those, you should know that the 30 second anime shorts will stop appearing around that point since those are created only when the JP server receives that content, meaning there are none that exist after Zwillingsturme im Herbst (the event that ended for us last week). Anyway, regarding Jessica Alter, she is a good unit with a lot of versatility as a defender with ranged attacks and good firepower. She is currently the only character in the game who can change the way she is facing (temporarily) without redeploying her, which opens up some very unique plays. She is not a limited character so you can accidentally get her on any other banner (in gacha parlance, she can "spook your pulls"), so you don't really need to aim to pull her. She will get a rate up when her debut banner reruns next year, if you really want to stack the odds in your favor. Now Typhon, on the other hand, she is extremely powerful and part of the top meta operators in the game, for quite a lot of reasons like huge range and huge damage. She is definitely someone to actively target for pulls but she will not get a rerun of her debut banner because her debut event was just a vignette. It will probably take a long while before she gets a standard banner rate up. But like Jessica Alter, Typhon is also not limited so she can spook your pulls at any time. ...and sadly, I am one of those poor souls who have neither Jessica Alter nor Typhon, lol. I'm saving my gold certificates so I can finally buy Goldenglow when she enters the gold cert shop for the first time around August or September this year. I did manage to get Muelsyse in my first free single pull when she was released, but my luck on most banners is rather poor overall, hahahaaaaa... sigh.

Pinch-out.... is one of the Doctor's nightmare.... What could be wrong with 2 rocket launcher robots with 3,750,000 hp , 3432 atk , 4800 def , 80 res with 1,282,500 hp , 4004 atk , 2400 def mine installing invisible can't block rat....Too painful...

Eyja Alter's preview trailer has the voice acting muffled out because at this point of the story, Eyja's deafness from her infection has become so severe to the point where the Doctor learned sign language just to be able to talk to Eyja.

Ah yes Lone Trail, one of the best written Event Story, and It foreshadows also "Endfield" And the whole event is based on the US "Space Program" And praised by one of the writers of Baldur's Gate

Not exactly useless just so very niche that people don't want to invest in her since there are other options that are easier to use. Spuria is a buffer that only works well specificly with slow hard hitting snipers like Ambriel with S2, Schwarz (S3) or upcoming W Alter (S3). Her buff (S2) is a good Atk/Atkspeed buff (30%/40% at M3 is nothing to sneeze at) with the tradeoff of a small chance of self stun (20% at M3) during attacks of the buffed unit. Which doesn't sound great but with units with very slow attack speed, the stun is actually shorter or just as long than the normally slow attack speed of the unit to attack (especially at S2M3 but again most don't want to invest resources just for a niche). So unless you are really unlucky and most attacks of the buffed unit turns into selfstun the average DPS does increase quite a bit. Now obviously there are better and safer option out there (notably Aak or other more simplier buffers) which is why Spuria is pretty much at the bottom of the tier list but if one figure out her niche she is actually suprisingly quite useable if one wants to use her for whatever reason (like as a 5 star she is easier to get than Aak or like the thrill of RNG).

@@ChaosMind10531 Basically yeah. The first was Aak and his buff is stupidly strong with minor health drawback. Obviously for lower rarity units they have to be worse than him in someway otherwise there would be no point in using Aak anymore rather than using cheaper and slighly weaker variants. Therefore give good buffs but there has to be restriction and drawbacks to not outshine him.

@@Troytaicho And Spuria, currently is on the opposite end of the spectrum... Her drawback hits so hard that's she's a niche of a niche operator to use... That 20% chance to stun is big enough (for me) to even consider especially in autoruns...

Are you hyped up for the new CC?

How much time has passed, and this part of the trailer for Alter Eya still causes goosebumps and discomfort. With this gradual muffling of speech, we begin to hear everything just like Eya with her side effect of oripathy(but music becomes too loud at this point). As far as I remember, after this event she began to rely more on hand gestures and lip reading than on the hearing aid.

About Kal'sit's skin, She will have whole new lines in this version of skin, colder dialogue and a bit of lore of her before babel Also if you have her as assistant, when you start the game you get her animation intro everytime you press start the game.

Lone Trial is a big lore chapter ineed. In the past, present and also... future that will come A true nature of Columbia Also a tease to Sequel of Arknights. The art design and everything are also top notch. This is beyond AAA game company kzread.info/dash/bejne/k4ds0NCjorDSgcY.html Lone trail is just beyond pretty, A peak of art. The effort that went in to that event is just insane. And it reflects to the story department of what it is to be "inspired" The music, the art direction, even UIs tell story in it's tone.

It really is peak so far! Even just from the teaser and all that. They went ALL OUT. I can see just how far they've reached since the start of Arknights and I am absolutely loving their progress~

Silence alter is free with fully stacked upgraded, I don't use her because I don't really need her but she does have OP skill "Turn everyone in to Surtr" is too much power to do anything for real...

Seems like Dorothy is a character I want to get, not just for her skills, but for her lore too.

I think the main story isn't that great until victoria arc First arc is more like they're building the lore Showing some Fucked up things that happened in the story Arknights isn't that dark anymore comparing to what happened with Children of Ursus How anxiety and paranoid turn little girls in to monsters.

Rather than Arknights being dark, the world of Terra is just plain scary if I were to think about what it's like to actually live in that world. Absolutely not a place I would ever want to live in ever. Not just Catastrophes and Oripathy, but so much danger in every corner of that world! Too terrifying for me.
