I'm impressed. I'm thinking of grabbing one of those for my toolbox. I have the smaller one and never had a problem with it, but I've seen the performance of this power tool is amazing. Thanks for the video. You and the VCG gang have a nice and blessed day. Take care.

Surprising, Milwaukee was bought out in the late 1990's by the same company that owns Ryobi . Not the same quality tools at all so good to hear .

Dewalt rookie, here. Can it be explained why the model numbers of Dewalt impact drivers have been released like, DCF885, DCF887, DCF840, DCF850, DCF 845, now the DCF860? Not knocking the tools, just the numeric order of models being released. 🤷‍♂️

I don’t understand why you wouldn’t use drywall screws on wood? Isn’t every drywall joint that you would be fastening with a screw - be backed by dimensional lumber? lol by my math, the bulk of a 2” drywall screw is being drilled into wood so what am I missing?

I didn’t like the 850 for toe screwing. The bulky head tended to get in the way if you didn’t have at least a 3 inch bit. So far I’ve enjoyed the 845 a lot and it seems to run circles around the 850. Think I’ll stay with the 845 because of the small compact narrow head on it.

Another thing to mention is that i enjoy the power from a power stack but I’ve had 4 power stack 5ah. I warrantied two for failing under load on bigger tools. Then I got a new one from warranty. Immediately failed again. I hope they get it worked out.

I think every contractor/tradesmen generally lives in speed 2 or 1… maybe if you’re using an impact wrench and are working for nascar then I can imagine you’d need all that speed but I definitely don’t need it unless I have a very strong magnet for my Philips head screws🗿

right now at Harbor Freight For 99 bucks you get a 5hr batt and charger with a free Hercules impact driver with a 5 yr warranty. That is stronger than or as strong as any of the big name brands. People just starting out should go that way you won't be sorry. Heck you can almost get 2 kits and 2 free tools for the price of 1 of the big name brands plain tool
