Jocelyn by all counts seemed like a fast kid that wouldn’t listen to her mom regardless. She may have been too scared. She was with two men. Maybe they forced her to walk over there. I mean, how could she get away? They probably kidnapped her. Even if she initially went voluntarily, 2 seconds later, she wasn't going to be getting away. It's possible they showed her a weapon, maybe even a gun. She probably couldn't just yell and run into the store. And if she could have, she was only 12, and maybe she did what the adult men told her to do. Anyway, those men knew she was a child, and they knew she had no business going over there to that little store at 10 pm, and that her mother did not know where she was or what she was doing and they took advantage of all of that. They are the ones who did the horrible crime. And the poor girl could not have suffered more.
