See I wish they would add base defense traps and stuff to the base game not super high tech like gun turrets but something simple like tripwire shotgun traps or spring loaded spike wall traps or something that would make raids difficult but not impossible

The best place to build a base is probably the edge of the map in my opinion

If it's just some quality improvement mods and a little tweak here and there i don't care but when you try to make it into another game by overhauling everything it makes it kinda trash. if you wanna play tarkov then just go and play tarkov dude!

@@elwynalderman3356 i did not say there aren't any vanilla playthroughs on YT but most play modded servers. I understand why. But at the same time i think it takes away alot of the hard things about Dayz when you can just buy all you need at a trader. Crazy guns that are OP as fuck. And the health and shock damage has been reduced alot in almost all modded servers and so on! I have played Dayz since the EARLY arma 2 mod. Like from the first few versions of the game. Vanilla is the way to play Dayz. And like i said. Some quality improvements and some tweaks here and there is fine. Go for it! But other than that i think you should play the vanilla version!
