As someone who use to cover this game, It's good to see people still covering it and enjoying it. That being said, after watching this, I feel like one of the main reasons this game simply just can't get a decent footing for viewership is because it lacks the PvP intensity you see in something like DayZ as most of the gunfights are between AI. Not letting the community full use of the mod tools for servers also severely is limiting what people can do to differentiate their servers from others outside of loot spawn rate, starter kits, and other basic things. It cripples creators from being able to create stories like you see in DayZ content

Agreed, and it could all be fixed with some more tools as you said. Also fixing specific pvp zones and everything else pve would make a MASSIVE difference... But hey thanks for watching, hope you´ll get back to deadside soon :)

I personally love the a.i and missions that what makes dayz bad is its only player based pvp

It´s still a good game but can be SO much better with a few updates!

Starting at around 18:45 ish and going for several minutes, the music almost sounds like a remix of Gustavo Santaolalla and Mac Quayle's work for TLOU2. Maybe inspired by? Is it Deadside's music? It's really good.

at 39:21 you are in the cave looking for the special fish and you are standing on a rock right next to a canoe an there's a fish in the water right at the front of the canoe but you didn't see it i was like "its right there in front of you man" haha loved the video i would have done a few things differently like at the start i would have chose the mosin instead of the MK417, the mosin will 1 tap enemys but the MK417 is always a 2 tap, i guess its personal preference not really a big deal, the base you built was kinda cosy and good enough for its purpose im assuming this was a PVE server so you dont have to built for base defense as you wont be able to get raided anyway, the latest update was massive now we can go prone, weapons have had recoil re balanced, weapon accuracy is more realistic smipers are more accurate and pistols are less accurate, AI have been improved, the economy has been re balanced with prices at the trader, and now they have announced they are working on land vehicles a 2 wheels motorbike that looks super cool and also a car, deadside has made some huge progress lately and heading in the right direction the devs are listening to the community and its really starting to show that, this game is finally going to start getting the love it deserves, cheers!

I really think this game should just lean hard into the pve. Make instances where you go in and get loot like a raid, Implement enemy attacks on your base, maybe even a character progression system like 7 days. I don’t see the pvp ever coming back to what it used to be, but they have a great framework already built for some awesome pve gameplay

I actually agree. They could do something like SCUM has done, so you can choose to play singleplayer without a server, and then having online servers as well for people who likes that

This game is way to open, nowhere to hide.

Bought the game at launch, was supposed to be the "DayZ killer", they were supposed to fix everything wrong with DayZ while giving us a better experience, but it never happened. Played it for 2 weeks, didn't like the bot fights, didn't feel the adrenaline with the límited/non existent PvP, couldn't stick with it. Looks better now tho...

Two years ago i stopped playing only because i'd run out of things to do. Recently jumped back on and nothing's changed, after all these updates its the exact same lack of depth. Early access sure, but two years and literally nothing added to give players a reason to play. No hate, love the game. Needs more loot items, survival aspects, weather changes, weapon mods and allow for raiding more often.

I’m pretty sure non-members doesn’t get notified, and they can’t see the video in their feed, but they can see that the video exists if they go to my profile. That’s why I sometimes post in the community tab to make sure it shows up on the feed, to make more people be interested in memberships :)

Not going to lie... I had this game uninstalled for a long time. After watching this video I literally hit installed. So many updates went by and I haven't played it so lets give it a go again. They also need to make the AI more challenging and stop rushing us. They need to be more tactical.

No, you have to join a server. You can join a pve server if you don’t want PvP, but there is no offline gameplay

A little tip I'd zig zagging actually confuses there ai accuracy and they only hit you once or twice if your at a distance! What I do is shoot one then take cover in a building and they usually will come through the door and u kill them but there's easy, medium, hard and epic missions in which the a.is are stronger , smarter and better guns and convoys are hard also

I mean it´s an open world.. no one will tell you what to do. Come up with challenges, your own missions or whatever. There is plenty of ways to play this game, gotta use the imagination a bit :) but hey, this game is not for everyone. I´m sure you got other games that speaks to you more!

What's the point of building a base 1000 miles away from a safe zone (traders) at the end of the map and then every 15 minutes run 1000 miles to sell the stuff and buy something that you need especially when you play PVE mode, sorry pal but makes no sense in my humble opinion

This game never took off because 1. Dayz is better 2. Dayz is moddable 3. Servers suck on this game 4. its been out for like 4 years and it still feels like it released yesterday
