I still dont understand how dota 2 has so many players. I never hear about it ever, either from streamers, friends or just anywhere really. Like Lol is everywhere, mmos are everywhere, dota 2 just is there but i never hear about, and i am in the "quote on quote" gaming community. Like every big streamers mentions all of the big games regurarly yet they never ever mention dota xd Still love it though. Maybe its mainly popular in a non english speaking country?

New players just have short attention span, thats why new games is fast paced... And they just like cool effects that triggers epilepsy warnings... Dota 2 is just so weird and hard for them... For example league doesnt have a turn rate which dota has and when they see it they say why dota has a slow turn rate... Like bro it is normal for characters to have a turn rate because that what a normal physics even in a fantasy world would do...

Dota and some warcraft map can be considered as "the father, or grandfather" of nowaday moba game (lol). No one wanna start playing dota because its too complicated to learn (im not saying its hard) in this idle gaming world.
