Cap San Diego,..... a proper general cargo ship. Takes me back to my seafaring days in the 70s.

This is the most beautiful container ship

They took care to have all the pink containers facing outward. 🤭 Cap San Diego was an unusually stylish cargo vessel when she was built, but she looks like a yacht compared with modern cargo ships doesn't she.

Maximum ship's draft is 13m, they make the river already deeper. This big ships cant go to Hamburg fully loaded, because they have 16m

sind an dem Tag de Einlaufens hier in Hollern für eine Woche angekommen und haben so diese Schiff verpasst. Gestern Abend dann im Restaurant Fährhaus Twielenfleth sahen wir einmal eine Maersk Line auch 398 m lang und der folgend die LNG powered CMA-CMG die Elbe hochkommen. Als Rheinanwohner aus Köln, Schiffe gewohnt, aber das sind schon gewaltige Pötte

Para capear un temporal le tengo más fe al Cap San Diego que al One Innovación. Además, en el desgraciado caso de tener que abandonar el buque portacontenedot en medio de una gran borrasca se me hace que los botes deberían abrirse paso en medio de una lluvia de contenedores

So it's only half loaded , pink containers are mostly for show and empty . Water line is quite high and the question is when we'll reach the point of too much capacity and some of these ships will be useless .

Under normal voyage circumstances rhwre wouldnt be that full amount of ONE containers on show, on deck, ONE is a lool of shipping lines, all the other shippinfg lines vontainers olus leased containers must be under deck

No, it isnt, there is 1 of 4 Container Terminal full automated Port. A second is under construction.

ONE containers are always pink. I first noticed those containers on the Union Pacific intermodal trains, before I knew ONE was a shipping line.
