Bro is a helldivers channel now

Fun fact: You do not need to hit the bugholes anywhere special with the Commando, even shooting the back of the bug hive or the ring around the entrance is enough to break it. Same goes with the fabricators, any hit from any angle and they go down. 2 shots tanks and turret towers, and bullies gunships with 1 rocket to the engines to down them. Quite the excellent weapon and definitely gonna be a monster on defense missions. Edit: (Pens tank and turret armor from any angle, make sure you double tap the same part of the tank that you hit first, don't split between body and turret. Don't aim for tracks unless you want to bully it.) 1 shot strips the armor off the side of either Charger types' body, if you wanna do that shtick with grenades or a buddy. CAN* Two shot titans. Kinda hard

It's good against tanks/cannons, hulks, and Factory Striders. It kills tanks/cannons with 2 shots to the turret. Factory Striders go down with 2 shots to the eye. So if you do it right, you can theoretically kill 2 tanks/cannons/striders/hulks in 2 seconds.

@@KillFrenzy96 Oh god, that's more text than I expected down there. I hope you'll read it, but I doubt it. EATs are just better for that, so no point in using Commando for that. I judge a weapon or a stratagem based on what unique thing it can do that no other weapon/stratagem can or in which way its better in doing something than other weapon/stratagem so its justified to take it instead of other one. Commando is pretty much similar to Spear. Its main use case is destroying bases. The differences are: Spear: - GOAT for gunships - Have more damage, so can take down these ships from the mission that are on the ground and tanks in one round Basically use cases are: some mission objectives, turrets, tanks (but it never one shotted one for me), gunships and bases Commando: - doesn't require a backpack - doesn't require a resupply or being kept in inventory - have insanely low damage compared to other ATs - can destroy bases So if you need something to destroy bases effectively you should take commando, because most of the bases don't have more than 4 fabricators, you don't need to reload it and you don't have to always keep it with you, its when and where you want or need it, just wait 4 secs, also it doesn't require a backpack and can't miss (your skill issue doesn't count). So basically its very flexible for destroying bases and is the best support weapon for that. But because of its low damage its not viable for any other targets, except maybe for turrets. Tanks are not in the list because I take 500kg or orbital for that anyway, same for striders (I've never even killed one with one commando no matter where I shoot, probably a skill issue). Commando and Spear share a lot of issues. They can't kill hulks reliably (for spear it should one shot them, for commando just good luck hitting the eye with it, it's easier to do with a railgun or any other hitscan), they cant help you with devastators and walkers, which are the biggest annoyance on bots and probably the biggest threat. I think rather than changing something about commando as some part of community want devs to do, they should buff damage for Spear so it can one shot tanks and hulks AS IT SHOULD DO. So then Spear can be a weapon for heavy targets and bases, but require a backpack and reloading, and commando will remain a base busting weapon with addition of being able to kill 4 turrets, 2 tanks or gunships, perhaps hulks if you're desperate. Btw in Helldivers (first one) Commando was closed to Spear as we know it in Helldivers 2. It had a backpack for reloading and was shooting rockets in arc-like trajectory. No one used it tho, so I barely remember any details. Thats a huge wall of text, isn't it?

@@Damglador I've read it. You make some good points. I usually still prefer to use an AMR/Autocannon on bots, but I often switch to the Commando if the team has no AT, especially to deal with cannon turrets sniping at you. Commando shots to the Hulk's eye are pretty reliable when combined with a stun grenade, but you have to aim slightly to the top-left of his head.
